@@bastianrivero I am sure if you put a rich kid in a poor place, for a week. Then, they will return to their privalidged life. Appreciating, their wealth more. However, if a poor person lives, like a King for one day. They might connect, with a Prince however. If, that 🤴 Prince won't share. Well, they will have to go back to a life of poverty and perhaps they might even die, of starvation. Or fall, into prison, because they are getting a hard time. Keeping up, with all the expectations. Of, rules. That, are so expensive, with so much energy to please everyone all the time. Or. A poor person, won't have the option of commuting by motorized vehicles and, they might meet people who are desperate, or immoral. Perhaps muggers. Or, folks with ideas about whatever. Wanting, to get, whatever. Or, folks having a hard time and, forced to fight for survival. Where, they have no education or whatever. However, I am thinking. That, if I can travel in a motor car and if, I don't talk to people. How can they become upset. Smile, say hi. Try to express my discomfort before my rage. Gets out of control. But. Now. Yes, I am a tired old man and, if Society gives me , no grace when. I am struggling, with a difficult period. Like, forced to migrate to find cheaper accomodation. Or, under pressure to take dangerous work. Or take risks. Pay, for things, I cannot afford, or be cheated out of my rights. And, in this culture of over education, where it's normal to become over educated in a city, because of competition. So, if an untrained fighter is. Not going to be aware of anatomy and might have, goals like. 'I am poor. I am going to take this person's money and I don't care how seriously they're injured', or they have whatever. Thoughts, on their mind. When, I spoke to a fallen woman and, I was saying. 'Do you know about dangerous parts of the body? There are some parts of the body, which if a person was to strike out at. There is a danger of death or getting paralyzed.' Well, she never understood or, she says: ' I will aim for those bits' perhaps she, is trying to scare me, and later. I find out. Yes, she is a mugger! And, I am wondering what she is thinking. But, I heard she passed away after a prison sentence. So. A lot of downtrodden people. Under financial pressure are, going to be for some reason taking all those. Risky substances, due to their bad education. Lacking Social support. And, making desicions under pressure. Where with a wealthy person. They might not have intelligence however. If, they've got new money perhaps their parents. Had. To sacrifice a lot to make their fortune. They're health or whatever. However, if a trained fighter is handling a violent situation. They're not ignorant. In the, culture of violence. They hopefully attended school. Like myself. Where we learned to Wrestle. However, there was people taking private lessons also in striking sports. Because of too much. Watching TV! And, wanting to be involved in that industry of entertainment. Where maybe only the top few participants are getting paid. Or the history has been of slaves being forced to fight for the benefit and entertainment of their owners perhaps? With a trained fighter. They won't break the law, if possible and probably will. Be able to negotiate something that's favourable for themselves without any violence hopefully. Or with a minimum of harm to themselves. Or negotiation using threats. To gain their objectives. Not actual harm. Or hopefully not hurting anyone. However, if they're trained, and. They're objective is to. Take something by force. Or, they're ordered to. Fight for something. Where, probably they can easily. Walk down the road someplace else and pick up whatever they want for free, with no need to fight! So, a kid maybe. Won't know about the law and really. I must fully watch this clip actually. I forgot to watch the whole thing and learn the opinions of Fight Science.

Fantastic! Great information for upcoming (no budget) film makers - and even pros. I saw a behind the scenes photo once. Looks like an Arriflex S. Great classic 16mm film camera delivering rock steady and sharp images - with the right lenses. If you know where to buy your stuff, 16mm and Super 16mm film (including processing and scanning) isn't all that expensive anymore. Way more affordable than 10 years ago - and looking better than ever with modern film stock and digital HD scanners. I'd highly recommend 16mm or Super 16mm if you want to go for that perfect, classic film look and want that 'film experience' while shooting (instead of seeping through hours of video footage in post and editing). Everything looks instantly more "expensive" and simply better right out of the scanner. Just my opinion. I know Robert Rodriguez wouldn't agree (unlike his buddy Quentin Tarantino), and I respect that, but he learned his craft with film cameras and the results are just great! P.S. Robert Rodriguez is incredibly talented and very resourceful. I was like: "Wow, this is genius!" while watching the "making of". Thanks for the upload!

Filmmaking then was beyond the scope of most people. He found a way to do it. But today it's a different world. You have a cell phone you can make a movie. So the average person doesn't have that hurdle to climb. There is so much excellent stuff out there now. At least the technical side is easier to overcome but the creative side isn't. Rodriguez has both.

Perhaps, folks on welfare benefits. Might be in a position to volunteer. Where, if the script is fun. Hopefully folks might want to take part. However, it might end up cheaper to hire folks. I self shoot. For, my KZbin channel and volunteer. Public events are a great way to get footage. I managed to shoot an awesome short production called Sabbath2.2 AllOneWord In a public area. I went to see, TheSphereOfFear which involved mainly volunteers. The Director was one of my dad's students. TheSphereOfFear is on www.cinedownloads.com I think. Of course, it was probably already paid for, maybe a hand me down, inherited from a loved one who passed away? Reminds me, that my grandfather gave me his (now antique) 8mm home movie gear, with a little splicer / viewer, a projector, and a row of four lights as hot at the sun, meant to be with the camera, they say ‘2-hour life’, so they’ll blow If I try to use them! Those Marantz (Nagra better) recorders are hot collectibles (as of 2021), and they’re fetching over 1000$! Now today, we can use our phones’ cameras to make movies and even post production, all on a phone?!! What’s he say “...Nuestros Antepasados...”. And something about technology? Still as relevant as ever I’m afraid!!

Well if your new at it or haven't tried making a movie the question is probably: Why does it cost anything at all? Another thing is that if you start hiring people then you have less flexibility. Everyone has to set everything up. I'm sort of here because I watched a whole movie that was practically just close ups. One closeup of a face after another. I used it to fall asleep so I'm not sure what it was about. It was a sort of post apocalyptic action movie. It had to be cheaper than 7000 dollars. Close ups with lots of fuzzy backgrounds. It's only afterward that I realize, this movie must not have had any budget whatsoever. It was also incredibly boring. Well it wasn't incredibly boring. But it WAS boring. Also frustrating. At any moment you expect to find out what it's about. Maybe it's there if you watch close enough. They probably used the show don't tell method.

To say that it was lazy is pretty insulting considering how much drive he had to have to make this film with so little to begin with.

Time is money, so that may also have been consideration behind the "laziness"

Well, "El Mariachi" is basically a (bad) Mario Almada movie but 30 years later. So, whatever he "pioneered", it was made before by the Almadas, with the exception that the Almadas did it much much better and cheaper.
