I think either Roses we’re in a different section and everyone thought that Rose just walked off. Or Pink was actually trying to be an Amethyst but then designed a new court of gems later to match her appearance. For Pearl, pearls are decorations and barley noticed and since the Amethysts are new they didn’t really put much thought. For the Famethyst maybe most of them already went to work or maybe they were pooped and changed appearances later probably during the war

late reply, it does make sense if it was in an adjacent section. It would probably look more like just a rose quartz wandering off than anything else. Plus, we do know that lower ranking gems can get pearls for great acts of valor, so seeing a quartz with a pearl doesn't seem too far off in gem society.

I like how this episode really cleared things up a bit. It makes seem Rose/Pink’s decision less selfish. She was trying to scare gems off the planet, but Garnet changed everything.

Regarding the thing about Rose calling herself an Amethyst, I get the feeling we’re going to hear or see more of this. Think about it: once Pink realized she looked so different from her Amethysts, even when disguised as a Quartz, she would have the motivation to create the Rose Quartz Gem type officially, and from it, her true Rose Quartz persona. She could come across as a simple soldier protecting her true homeworld, Earth, rather than a foreign invader who changed her mind. It made her cause more personal, but also more believable.

rly good episode honestly .completely changed the perspective of pink and truly made her more likeable.enslaving people wasnt actually her idea ,it was blues .she actually loved the planet and treated it with respect .and rly ,her actions and selfish rebelious nature is truly nothing but blue and yellows fault . the consequences of bad forced parenting .of being cold and forcing your views and beliefs upon your child .and in the end .because of this bad parenting , rose turned out they way she was .by being cold and ruthless towards her ,pink came to hate them and never realised how truly loved she was.she was disrespected just because she was different,cause she had a hearth . sure pearl had a role too ,but if anything ,pearl matured rose and made her saw the big picture and what truly the work of a diamond can do and the bad effects of it .if anything ,pearl has been a better figure in roses life than both the diamonds .overall ,this episode was great and it rly cemented both pearl and rose as my favourites.pink may have been far from mature and a tad bit selfish ,but hear hearth was in the right place .

indeed.i feel like we need some flashbacks from during the war ,after the shattering and also another set of flashbacks after the war,during the 1700-1800s ,to see just how much the war and prolonged life on earth truly changed pink.in jungle moon she seemed mentally like a 5-6 year old that was higly pampered .while on a single pale ros and we're only falling apart ,she seems more like a 14-15 year old teenager .curios ,wants to enjoy life ,still a bit immature,but much more matture than before . so rly i want some rose quartz in and post war to see just how much she truly changed .a flashback like her life in the early centuries ,or a flashback of when she decided to make steven . we need to see more of her mental evolution.to my opinion and understanding ,by the time she had steven ,she truly evolved mentally ,and instead of a 14-15 year old,she seemed like a 19-25 year old young adult .still sometimes childish ,but otherwise composed and mature . so yeah overall i agree.we need more flashbacks.also sry for dragging to long,i someties get carried away

Pink referred to herself as an Amethyst to fit in while in the kindergarten. In Yellow's song "What's the Use of Feeling Blue?" There is a line "Why do you want to implore her subjects that destroyed her?" That shows Rose Quartz' we're Pink diamond only. Rose Quartz' only existed after Pink and Pearl visited the colony in disguise.

Carlos Hernández What's more unsettling about the role of pearls on Homeworld is that they are PHYSICALLY incapable of disobeying the gems they were made for. So the fact our Pearl panicked in saying she was imagining without permission pointed to her being 'defective' as has previously been hinted. But that wouldn't mean she has complete free will either, most likely just free thought and more will to do things freely when PD told her not to stop speaking and acting as she did naturally and without orders. Sorry for the ramble, I've just been shook ever since it was kind of confirmed. It also explained why Pearl's hand would always physically prevent her speaking, on account of her owner's last order.

Lewis Jones She may be kind of "defective", however I think the key was the command she was given. She was supposed to "make PD happy", and we saw how PD hated that Pearl wasn't able to imagine without permission. It was boring for her. So maybe that allowed Pearl to imagine and even wish for things, for making PD happy. Pearl recommended PD to desobey BD and YD, but again it was since her priority was to make PD happy. So, in a sense, the command of "making PD happy" may have made Pearl a little more free, and also let her suggest things that weren't that "correct"... Later on PD started to love the Earth, this because Pearl wanted to make happy by visiting new places. Someone said that PD may had been a perfect diamond if she just looked for the Amethyst been born and returned to her job. So, in a sense, Pearl made PD more free.

But yeah, in that sense that was definitely the key in making Pearl more free, now that I remember the key phrase in which she was made to specifically make PD happy. As long as she acted like the robotic slave she was meant to be, the less happy she made PD and therefore it's definitely what caused some major changes for her.

If you think about it, the majority of gems who rebelled with Rose were most likely other quartz gems or maybe Rubies. Think about it. "Rose" preached her message to the masses of gems already on Earth. There were probably very few other types of gems who decided to rebel also, especially elites.

Re: why aren't there any rose quartzes in the prime kindergarten? My take is that since PD and Pearl warped there on a whim and the disguise was a last-minute sort of thing for PD to fit in with the amethysts, it didn't really occur to them at the time how odd it would look for her to be the only pink "amethyst" around a bunch of purple ones. Maybe they realized later that it would be smarter to create an entire new cut of gems (remember that PD created the rose quartzes) that resembled PD's gemstone more, and then pose as one of THEM instead.

8XL is the Amethyst hugged by Rose. Because in the zoo episode, 8XL states "Amethyst under me never popped out. We were all waiting and *pffffft* nothin'." Maybe they changed their hair when they changed their uniform from pink to blue. They could have even been poofed and reformed with longer hair as they most likely fought in the Gem war to avenge their diamond. Its still really early tho and I dont know that much about Gem "biology." For instance, is Skinny the Jasper "Off-Color" because shes a Jasper and was meant to be an Amethyst? Or is she a Jasper because she is an Off-Color Amethyst? Which comes first? Why are they called off color if multiple types of Quartz soldiers exist?? If the minerals of the ground dictate what gem comes flying out of it, should it not be painfully obvious that you wont get purple amethysts from that red sandstone stuff found in the Beta Kindergarten? what color are they supposed to be???? i have so many unanswered questions if someone can help me out that'd be great

Mediocre Gamer I would say that Skinny is off colored not because she is physically the wrong color for a Jasper quartz, but because she is not like Jasper herself. Skinny is, well, skinny and seems to have a relaxed attitude. As a quartz soldier she is meant to be muscular and intimidating. Off color meaning "not perfect" in the eyes of Homeworld.

The whole thing is that Safire was the sort of the brains and ruby is the strength so Safire being lied to and not using the future sight to see the lie for what it is, she is more angry at her self than any one else. Because the fact that she let rose tell them that they are not going to be shattered and she trusted rose when rose was not rose but pink diamond was what Safire was really mad about.

You pointed out some things that made me question the continuity of the show myself. Very well put together. I still have a problem with PD/Rose. I just wish she stood up as herself instead of hiding behind this fake persona. I feel like if she continued the rebellion as Pink Diamond, it would show her individuality as a Diamond, and her maturity in a sense. It would have shown that she can take charge for what she stands for as a great leader, and she could be recognized as an individual and probably earn respect from her own colony. I feel like her shattering taints her image, and the Diamond's themselves, making them look weak and vulnerable when they are supposed to be strong and untouchable. It was a coward like move. But I guess that's what makes her character so complicated. You can see the way her mind thinks, and that's what I like about her. Her flaws made her very intriguing, and the fact that she realizes them later on and feels so guilty to the point of venting to Greg (I forget which episode), shows that she grew a lot in that time. Okay I'm done

Dude if you think about it, Pink Diamond said "Promise me... We'll never speak of this again." But as soon as Steven popped out of Pearl he spoke about it, and technically he's Pink Diamond now. The seal was broken because Pink Diamond broke it.

I not really explained but Amethyst are Violet tinted Quartz and the gems are created knowing EVERYTHING they need to know from the injectors coding and are not taught anything. So they know what they are what they need to do and what other gems roles are and the Hierarchy of homeworld along with the orders out of the mould. They would know that other soldiers are being made on the Earth and would help them as well. Although Pearls are a status symbol for their owners they still work for the owners as well so seeing a Rose Quartz guarding a Pearl is not outside the roles of Quartz Soldier (Rubys are Soldiers as well as Guards) and a Pearl doing a task if the Pearl was an owners only servant. Whereas the Diamond Pearls only job is to serve their owners the rest of the tasks where be done by other gems.

I think ruby was unbothered because she wasn't a high ranking gem like sapphire ; sapphire gave up everything , while ruby didn't really have anything to give up since she was low rank ; so I think ruby sees it from the perspective of " I didn't really lose a place , however even if there was a war without rose quartz but with pink diamond, gems would have been shattered anyways.

In sapphire's viewpoint, Rose/PD lied by saying to "be who you really are" when she hid behind a persona herself. The reason there are only amethysts are because Pearl specifically says that the new amethysts are about to emerge. All other gems from the kindergarten are likely already assigned elsewhere (as seen when the fresh amethysts leave 8XM behind and immediately head out to be assigned their duties).

I have hearde a theory that The Rose Quartz soldiers do not exist, the ones in the zoo is just lifles stones that Pink made and than said She made new type of stone, and said they rebeled. I think there weren't much aristocratic gems rebelling because they didn't need to. They were the closest to the Diamonds, so received better treatment. The lower classes, like Rubies, were common as they are the ones who suffered the most. I don't think there were much Pearls there too as they are usually very loyal.

To give a little explanation to pink diamond being the rose quartz in a sea of amethyst pearl gave her the idea to turn into a quartz not specifically a rose quartz ms amethysts are quartz soldiers. And whose to say that the prime kindergarten was only for amethysts? Also pink diamond could have created the rose quartz cut of gem after this so it wouldn’t look like she was the only pink quartz. Also the plan is a little wonky because in all honesty pink diamond wasn’t the brightest crayon in the crayon box.

I'm late on this video, but here are my smal thaughts: 1. I think there aren't any Rose Quarz at the Amethyst kindergarden for the same reason that there aren't any Jaspers. I always asumed every kind of gem was made in it's own kindergarden. 2. Maybe the Amethyst changed there apearance? Wouldn't be to much of a suprise concidering how long ago they hatched.

Although Pearls aren’t rare, they are programmed to have complete loyalty, which is why Crystal Gem Pearl was praised for rebelling. I doubt many other Pearls would even think about rebelling, especially if they couldn’t even “imagine” things without their owners permission.

Above the "where are the other Rose quartz gems", I think it's possible that they emerged in a different section of the kindergarten. Pink went to the section Amethysts are supposed to come out of, but it's very possible that at the same time, a batch of rose quartz soldiers were emerging in a different place. Or they already emerged. Or they didn't emerge yet. I doubt Homeworld would dedicate an entire huge kindergarten only to quartz soldiers of a specific kind. After all, Pink would need a lot of gems to colonise earth. She would need a court of her own, and I doubt she'd be satisfied with gems transferred from another court.

Here are my theories to your theories. 1. Rose Quartz’s could have been made in another section of the kindergarten. Homeworld is very organised, and may have sectioned it up to better distribute resources or something. 2. Amythests are soldiers. Over the the thousands of years between their ‘birth’ and the Zoo, who knows how many were pooped or, like you said, shattered.

With the kindergarten, I think it can be explained as like what if she was just in the amethyst sector. The kindergarten is huge, but the visits have been mainly focused on amethyst's story so the amethyst sector would make the most sense

The ruby and sapphire reaction reversal is telling because of their traditional occupations: Rubies are basic soldiers that are meant to follow orders, sometimes with commanders that teand to usually withold information from them of greater magnitudes than what could be considered transparent to higher ups: something that Sapphire cannot truly hndle, her powers rely on knowing everything and cannot be allowed to have any flaw in-design.

I know this video is older and you'll probably never see this, but, I believe the reason we never SAW any Rose Quartz in the Kindergarten is because they weren't finished "cooking" yet. Pearl states, "The *FIRST* Quartz soldiers are due to emerge soon." The Amethysts were the very FIRST batch of gems to emerge! Rose Quartz's could have been "planted" elsewhere in the Kindergarten and weren't due to "hatch" until a later date.

A quote from Blue Zircon from the Trial that could help explain the Rose Quartz gems at the Zoo in pink bubbles. "...at the time that Pink was shattered, Rose Quartz was a recognized threat for several hundred years..." She was a recognized threat for several hundred years. To let herself fit in better, she could've invented and implemented a whole new cut of gem. She could've gotten around to actually making many of them before she decided to take the effort to free Earth and bubbling all the others. Possibly to keep them safe, or the result of hunting them all down.

- Sapphire doesn't want to talk, but we've all been in situations where we don't want to talk... but really we do. - Pink being bored was kind of like when you're a kid and want to do a cool job, but find out that job also involves a bunch of paperwork. - I'd say a rose quartz in an amethyst kindergarten is more like a pear being put with the apples -- and we know that the Beta kindergarten produced a few anomalies like Carnelian rather than just Jaspers. - It's quite possible that the name "Rose Quartz", and even the gem type, came later. We know Amethysts can have curly hair, and that slight variations in colour aren't always considered "off colour", it seems to be more of a metaphor for being variant and/or defective.

8XL is the gem that Rose/Pink grabs by the arms and says "Wow, look at you! Welcome to Earth!". You can tell because she has the right shoulder gem. 8XM identifies her in "That Will Be All".

Pink made the rose quartzs gems after she did the disguise and modeled their gems after the bottom of hers so she would blend in. here she is pretending to be an amethyst but idk why they dont think she is different maybe they think she is a gem from another kindergarden or something?

I believe that Rose Quartz gems were mainly made in Pinks Part in the Homeworld Kindergarten. They are also not off colors so they might think that she’s in a higher position than them and that she just got recruited here with pinks pearl because she should simply observe them.

What if the reasoning for only amethysts emerging is that different gems have different times of emergence, like baking stuff. Like how brownies take a different amount of time to bake than a cake does. Not all pastries and foods take the same time to make. Different things go in them that alter the amount of time they need.

What I loved about this episode so much was that it reinforced Rose's loving nature, the real Rose, Pink Diamond's true nature was that of a sweet, lovable goofball! There is no denying the traits Steven inherited from Rose. Not to mention that had Pink gone through with the colonization of Earth, if she hadn't seen the rest of the planet, I imagine the unwavering unconditional love she would have for her gems would have made them fiercely loyal to her regardless of her being overcooked. It was also nice to see just how open minded she was as well. I didn't expect her to so quickly warm up to the Earth and to humans. This episode was basically just a big middle finger to everyone who wanted Rose to become a villain or monster to be burned in effigy.

I just figured that the Amethyst that Pink/Rose grabs a hold of to welcome when she first pops out is 8XL since she's right above where Crystal Gem Amethyst(who is 8XM) was supposed to pop out. Although, in the zoo 8XL is seen with a thigh gem and this one has a shoulder gem, albeit on in certain scenes she is seen with a thigh gem like 8XL and there is no shoulder gem. Not sure if this could be put down the inconsistent animation though.

1. Rose was pretending to be a soldier checking on the new amethysts. 2. Rose Quartz' were probably made on home world. 3. If not, there might have been a certain section of the kindergarten for certain gems. 4. The kindergarten is HUGE. The famethysts might have been there but in a different part of the kindergarten, slightly farther away or just out of shot.

I think that since they are all quartz gems they are actually very similar. The only difference is the presence of iron or trace amounts of titanium in the soil. You can see the color of the amethysts range even in the small patch of the kindergarten so I guess they just treated her like a quartz. So it's more like a tangerine hiding among the oranges.

There were six amethysts shown in the picture, the three members of the Famethyst that we saw up close could have been talking to some gem out of the picture, plus they have all been poofed in between this and "That will be all" since in that episode they all had Yellow Diamond's insignia on their clothes. so they could have even been these Amethysts.
