@@shanegeis2696 Yes! You will learn so much as a beginner while accomplishing each block. The sew-a-long makes the 100 day challenge blocks achievable. So many quilters will be there to help. Instagram will be key!

wow! Wow!! WOW!!! What an incredible quilt with a great background story. I am nowhere near this skill level (or patience) but I can most certainly appreciate the time, skill and dedication in creating the pattern and quilt itself. The fabric choice is spectacular with a beautiful flow of color and pattern. Great photos, including your parents unrolling the quilt - priceless. ❤

Karen, you’ve been through so much personally & mentally in the last couple of years. Congratulations to the happy couple! Your family is very clearly loved & treasured - I am so very glad that they take priority. I laughed at you maniacally finishing Maple & Eucalyptus, saying ‘Don’t drive tired!!’ at the screen. May you find some space for yourself soon.

In the middle of watching how this major project played out for you (WOW!), I opened the fridge to get the leftover pasta salad out for lunch. My husband’s old, smelly kimchee container fell out, and while I was thanking my lucky stars that the container stayed intact and only a little liquid spilled, a grocery store container of cubed watermelon and much juice fell out and beaned me on the head! The contents sprayed across my tile kitchen floor and hardwood entryway. So I dug out my new spinny mop bucket and mop, and went to work while you mulled over quilting strategies. I paused, got my lunch, and🎉 all was right with the world as you made it to your cruise with quilt in hand! Also note that midstream, a very long Apple commercial (highlighting the security options for protecting and recovering a stolen laptop in a cute mini-movie) played through while I was mopping and drying, setting a just-under-frenetic pace for my work. All in all, I’m glad we went through this together. My floor is clean! Your quilt is beautiful! I especially like the four block colors you selected and your gorgeous free motion quilting. Cheers to us!

Karen and Angie, your stunningly beautiful quilit is absolutely gorgeous and i love how you have used "just" plain fabrics. The colour spectrum is just stunning and it truly is a rainbow of beauty. I have always loved the colours in the rainbow, from colouring in as a child to the big child that i have become (because i still love a colouring in pad and set of pens and pencils). I love going through the colour spectrum, it brightens up the gloomiest of days and this piece of art is just testament to what i see. I love how you have quilted it in the colours of the blocks Karen, i know that this took up so much more time and skill than you were ready for the cruise, but your patience and talent have shone through and brings it alive flower. What better way to learn to quilt new blocks, than following along with this challenge to make the 100 block a day quilt. Thank you flower for sharing with us that couldn't get on the cruise, this stunning work of art and design of art, thank you girls. Crafty hugs from Norah, Glenochil, Scotland

That was fun hearing about your journey with the making of this quilt and the pattern with Angie and your roles in the process. I do think there's no better name than the one you two came up with and settled on. It's always nice to hear when an accomplished and experienced quilter needs to remake a few blocks just like the rest of us lol. Tends to make us feel better about our own mistakes I'm sure. I swear every time a quilt flows over the rail of a deck it brings out the beauty even more doesn't it?
