It seems like I can simply add a "Switch on has authority" node in the HUD's draw event before everything else, so when it's remote/on pad, a UI is drawn and can cover everything else, so it the app doesn't have to render everything else. This way I can make the pad app with Unreal's multiplayer features. Am I being too naive? Is there something stopping you from doing it this way?
