Let's go Ryno! I started watching the Cubs in 87, my DAD started watching the Cubs in 60 when he moved to Chicago from Southern IL, I was raised in Southern IL, I grew up watching Sandberg, Dawson, Grace. Go Cubs!🐻🐻🧸🧸

I transitioned from the St. Louis Cardinals to be a Cub fan in 83. Sandberge was my favorite player. After him it was Andre "THE HAWK"Dawson.

Nobody deserves it more than Ryno. What a great ball player and hear him talk about how defense was first and offense second, which I always knew that he was so proud of his terrific fielding. Ryan Sandberg, one of the greatest second baseman that ever played ….God bless him he deserves this…!

Aw, my childhood/teen years! HOW is he 64?! How desperately I miss my team. Cubs baseball was taken from me and my now 80+ father when they chose to go to cable. It's not right, what they did to long time fans.

I love Ryno, and his shirt was my first Cubs purchase in 1984! And i love the tribute of the sculpture-so well deserved! But the sculpture depicts the old-man Sandberg, not the young 1984 player. You can see it in the face. Such a bummer.

As a child growing up in the 80's, I used to LOVE watching Ryno. I remember the excitement of his every at-bat, the slight circular motion of his bat while waiting for the pitch, his error-free game streak (123 games; 584 chances)...too many amazing memories to mention. Congratulations, Ryne! You're a huge reason so many of us are lifelong Cubs fans!
