This is a masterpiece. I love how Antoine Fuqua was able to get filming location in "the jungle" to motivate and to inspire the youth at a young age. Letting them know that they to can be a director or an actor. It's crazy to know this movie was made 19 years ago as well. All these actors/artist are getting old man. Time flies.

I watched this film a few times, something I rarely ever do, as there are a lot of intricate gem scenes in this film. One of my favourite scenes is the guy weaving his bicycle alongside them in the Monte Carlo. It is a surreal apocalyptic dream sequence. It is a brilliant scene - one amongst many.

4:45 - onward was spot on. It’s the main reason if not the only reason Denzel got the Oscar for Best Actor. Nothing Denzel did before or after Training Day compares to Alonzo Harris. Even Frank Lucas wasn’t on the same level.

Alonzo Harris's "problems" are called malignant narcissism and sociopathy LOL. It is however a character played brilliantly by Denzel Washington. I mean, he played him in a way to make him likable. I think everybody can agree that Alonzo Harris is not the kind of villain that people resent and hate and that's what acting talent means. Just like Anthony Hopkins did with Hannibal Lecter. He made that villain, an odious human being basically, likable to the public. Denzel Washington managed the same thing with Alonzo Harris. Although truth be told, as bad as he is Alonzo Harris is not as disturbing as Hannibal Lecter LOL.
