Makonnen is a legend. He's been laying low for the past few years but I saw him perform at Fat Nick's show and we started talking on Instagram and got in the studio to do this interview a few days later. We talked about what he's been up to, his new song Sunlight On Your Skin with Lil Peep, what their friendship was like, the controversy about the other version of the song, Falling Down which features XXXtentacion and much more. Makonnen......if you read this I hope you know that you're an extremely unique an inspiring human being. I see a lot of similarities between my own situation and the background you spoke on between yourself and Peep. There's an almost endless feeling of nothing could ever end or go left and halt this moment when you find someone like that and get into a creative parallel with them and end up connecting even beyond that. Seeing as I dont have any family and very few friends when I found that connection with someone it was almost unbelievable to me and became the greatest time of my life so far but the more amazing it became made it that much harder when one by one I started losing the few people I had in my life including that person. I havent really spoken about it since and its going on three years but hearing the perspective you gave in this interview Makonnen made it easier to think about my own personal life rollercoaster and really feel like it doesnt just happen to me. Its not just me that loses so many people in a year and a half to two year span that the weight of it all and helplessness felt in the aftermath just makes it feel like the most alone feeling ever and thats an all to familiar feeling in my life thats a dark feeling place to get out of. Thank you Adam and Makonnen for doing this interview.....it helps more than you guys know !!
