My friends tried for so long to get me into K-Pop 5 years ago, I would have loved it I'm genuinely triggered at myself. It would have been amazing to be on the moo moo bandwagon while everything was happening, but going back and watching their old performances is still amazing. One of the reasons why they performed at numerous festivals in their early days was to pay back their company’s debt which was due to promoting them in their debut era, as they were the company’s first group, and they quickly paid off this debt, as they were one the most requested to perform among universities.

Thanks for doing the Part 2. Covering the group activities and history is something that I think a lot of guides miss. You highlighted the history and hardship the group went thru which no one really appreciates I feel sometimes. These 4 girls are heroic and living legends that will go down in Kpop history. I appreciated part 1 and now with part 2, you've made a complete guide that people will really appreciate. Purple Hawk may have some great production features, but your 2 guides really complete everything for people. I think your guides give a good starting point for people to start their journey to connect with Mamamoo. I do hope people see how much growth and impact these 4 have made over the past 8 years. They have done soooo many firsts as a group and solo's. Thanks again for this guide!

@@tastefullyrics4895 They have a possibility to disband in 2023, or they could pull a GOT7 and just transfer to another company _(might be hard tho, considering GFriend and the company's staff didn't agree with certain things and the group disbanded just a few months of a rumored comeback)._ But there's an option that they might do what Wheein did and just let the Group stay with RBW but have their solo careers handled by another agency. _What I observed so far:_ *Solar* - Tbh, she's the least likely to separate from RBW since her career is flourishing rn, with her in a lead musical role and being one of the MCs of the show "Late Night Ghost Talk". Predictions of her leaving the company is mostly because of them not promoting Solar enough. *Moonbyul* - In my opinion she could be the most likely to leave the company, if she ever wants to. Because gosh, the shade she's thrown at RBW these past months were brutal. In a recent online fansign Byul seemed surprised that a fan have these things called "Mamamoo gold bars" and some speculated that RBW went behind Mamamoo's back just to sell something. Byul's solo albums were also not included in the newly opened RBW lounge/cafe even though Hwasa and Solar's were. _(Wheein's solo albums aren't there because her solos are now signed to The L1ve, as the video said.)_ Most Moomoos knew about that because Byul HERSELF posted it in her Instagram story with a "thumbs up" above the photo. Because of the thumbs up, people are divided, with some saying she's supporting the new establishment and the others saying she's shading the company. In a "Studio Moon Night" with Hwasa _(I think it's her "Lunatic" comeback special)_ she said that she got angry that her MV was uploaded late, and she joked about just transferring to Naver. _(If anyone thinks Naver's a good company to go to, I don't think she can, because that's basically the Korean equivalent of Google)._ Also, speaking of her radio show, Byul actually won a *DAESANG* yet RBW didn't even congratulate her, they just retweeted Naver's announcement that Byul won the award, smh... *Wheein* - She's honestly doing the greatest in terms of solo activities right now, with her going on so many variety shows and just recently won her first solo win last January 2022. But I don't think she'd be the reason for Mamamoo's potential disbandment since I kinda remember her say that she can both be a solo artist and be part of Mamamoo at the same time and that both brings her different kinds of joy. *Hwasa* - Most Moos and solo Hwasa stans _(she's got an enormous international fanbase compared to the other three)_ complained about her latest solo "I'm a 빛" _(that was released last November 2021)_ getting less views than her previous works "Maria" and "Twit", saying RBW didn't promote her song much, and that with the amount of international fans she has, she should've gotten more. _(became a MooMoo a few weeks after the song dropped, so that's the thing I remember the most)_ Also, Hwasa can stand for herself nowadays, and it's RBW that better watch out and not lose such a valuable asset to their company. Overall, with the bond the 4 of them have, I don't think they'd want to disband anytime soon, but that really just depends on schedules, interests, and the company's plans for them. Let's support them all in both their solo and group careers!!!

Kpop has changed now. if you don't give to the masses what they want they don't care about talent and advocacies. what the masses want? choreography and banger. Where Are We Now is a good song yes? yes. 14 million views. they did the usual promotion(Sketchbook show, etc etc) including a performance to the youtube channel with the live band. why so few views and not international hit with 300 million views like Hip? cause it has no choreoraphy and it's a ballad. the exact opposite that the masses want. even in Mamamoo a dance focus song is more popular than a vocal focus song. what matters the most in Kpop now is choreography and upbeat music to match the choreography. look at Stray Kids and Enhypen. this is what the masses want and it's not my personal opinion but an undeniable fact. in Worldwide Fan's Choice in MAMA 2021 Stray Kids are #2 and Enhypen #3. look the 4th gen groups. more than 90% focus on choreography. i'm not saying they can't sing, but the selling point is the choreography and not the vocals. look at Worldwide Fan's Choice in MAMA 2021. ALL groups in top 10 focus in choreography. Mamamoo with Where Are We Now comeback in 2021 are not even in top 20. they didn't get nominated for any award. in MAMA they are nominated just for Worldwide Fan's Choice. in Kpop when it comes to groups, vocals alone is not enough. if you don't give to the masses what they want: intense/complex choreography and banger music they will go to someone else that has what they want.

@@SapiaNt0mata yes! The system is fucked up! Look at Hyolyn of Queendom2! The set up of choreography over vocals. Because social media has fucked up on how people value today's media and entertainment. Tiktok users focus more on dances because most users can't SING! so they seek to dance. Instagram where people value aesthetic and visuals to please their shallow perception of BEAUTY! But still I blame big companies that are also setting up the trends of choreography and visuals over vocals/ advocating platforms/song production. the current fans are banned waggoners just to feel cool and strong with their stands regardless of actual diversity in talents. Yet still I would like to focus on fans like me from the 2nd generation of Kpop fans (since 2008), a fan who value talents and advocacies!

@@sophiaisis1679 it's very rare to see someone else that can see what's going on, especially on Mamamoo fandom. most Mamamoo fans are oblivious cause Mamamoo is a vocal focus group. all you have to do to knowq that the masses want choreography is look what groups are popular internationally(all focus on choreography), and yet Mamamoo stans refuse to see the truth. in America they made a poll about what people look the most in Kpop. 1st is dance, 2nd is rap, 3rd is girl crush. vocals? not even in top 5. and the same thing applies to other countries. look how many dance covers from various countries there are for Mamamoo - Hip on youtube. the companies are not setting up standards. it's the masses that have standards and since companies want to make money the companies try to fit in those standards. the masses want choreography. this is why almost all of 4th gen groups focus on choreography. sure they may be able to sing and i don't deny it, but that's not the selling point. it's the choreography. i agree. especially youtube reactors. me too, but that's not gonna happen in the near future. almost 4th gen groups focus on choreography so the 4th gen is lost. let's hope things change in the 5th gen.

The masses and big companies had set the standards, choreography plus beauty standards are enough to succeed internationally. The masses would only take whatever outcome the big companies give them, like blackpink's before when I was still listening to them, people would go crazy over them even though the music and choreography are just similar to their previous comebacks. The big companies do basic releases yet the masses would always absorb it no matter what. Thankfully Nmixx is focusing on vocals.

Thank you for making this guide. I started following Mamamoo in 2018, and they mean a lot to me. Of course, as a moomoo, sometimes I miss the old days. I love your guide.. they really work hard to became where they are right now.. and also would you mind on making the 3rd part? the content would be how mamamoo is really appreciated and respectful among koreans and in the industry. Because before I jump into their variety shows I never know that they were that famous in korea and got a lot of praise from senior singer and other idols, also given the tittle believe and listen to mamamo.
