It seems a bit fitting, I WAS one of his patreons ~5months ago, and here is the story (was reply to someone else elsewhere, saying that Belton should sue them for lost patreon income). If anyone is interested, I do have a few receipts, like his "promise" to refund and then just ignore it etc, but that can't be added to youtube post XD : He can't prove it, because its simply not true. I was one of those subbed to his patreon on day 1 it launched and one of those that did not renew. It wasn't because of some magical group forcing him grind currency. He just completely ignored the patreon and did not interact with it for weeks, did not deliver on content he promised for the tier (weekly calls etc). When called out on it by multiple people, he just said "That's how I always league start", "You can find all info on my twitch stream" and such bs. People come from youtube to patreon to NOT watch twitch and the dude outright told us to watch his 20+ hour streams for updates we paid 20 bucks a month for, lol.. Some people on private discord were more vocal about this, some got banned for being too vocal, some asked refunds (which he never honoured btw, even after saying he would) ... No idea how it ended for everyone since I did not care that much, but considering he was at $2000+/month and then it was little over $1000+ (and it still is up to this day), most just silently dropped without drama. That being said, only Belton is at fault for this sub-arc of his story of his patreon not paying, not anyone else.

A huge part of me believes that Belton RMTS like crazy to fund his mirror projects. 1. he really went hard on TFT for doing it. 2. maybe he doesn't, but his crafters might to keep up with demand. 3. His “archive” is all recent stuff so I imagine as things were going bad he kept receipts in case he left the team and belton started trash talking him…which is what happened. If you are a nobody going against a streamer with a platform you need receipts at the very least to be on even ground. Even despite the receipts you have plenty of loyalists taking belton’s side. I think anybody in his shoes who starts to have a rocky relationship with a streamer is going to start to keep a record of things because you are at a massive disadvantage in the court of public opinion when you are unknown.
