I still believe that's the only reason he got defeated by Overeem and gassed out against Cain.......For those here who don't know what Diverticulitis is .. that shit is just horrible to the core....u feel like u should just die that u can't keep living. It can develop in the wall of the large intestine. Symptoms typically include lower-abdominal pain of sudden onset, but the onset may also occur over a few days. There may also be nausea; and diarrhea or constipation. Fever or blood in the stool suggests a complication. Repeated attacks may occur. And Brock still came back from this too defend the belt once more before losing twice and heading back to WWE because his body couldn't with stand MMA intense training at that point in time since he came out of 2 life threatening surgeries

@@dilichiohabuire2183 That disease made it worse, but he definitely would have lost vs Cain regardless. Cain was so much more well rounded and just a better fighter in every aspect. His chances were too low no matter what he did. With more training over the years though it could been totally different. Brock is a freak and a total beast, and if he trained properly for any real period of time then everyone is in trouble like they said. Physical specimen and an amazing athlete.

Wow. Great video! Brock Lesnar was an absolute favorite in my household. From his Wwe "next big thing" era all the way until the UFC title. As a former amatuer wrestler I've always had a great appreciation for Brocks unparalleled dedication, athleticism and achievements. Who knows what could've happened if not for those bouts with Diverticulitis. Even still he beat multiple champs/former champs in his short UFC career. I appreciate this video as a stroll down memory lane.

Brock isn't a 'pro wrestler' - that's just his job title. He's not even into 'sports entertainment'. He's an actual wrestler that competed at a college level. He's also a natural fighter. Brock got into 'pro wrestling' for the money, nothing more, nothing less. If the UFC would've been around back then and paid what it does now then he would've been a fighter from the get-go.

Brock is just an athlete. He's that rare freak of nature that comes along. A ton of farmboy country strength, and he really is a rarity in amateur wrestling. You don't see many guys start out so light and finish as a heavyweight, if any. It really makes me wonder what could have been had MMA jumped off and grew right when he was finishing up at Minnesota. At the end of the day, nothing but respect to him. He did it his way, made a helluva living, and I'm sure he's set for life.

When it comes to Lesnar the guy is a freak of nature. What he did in MMA didn't surprise too much just because of his college pedigree. Remember at that time, Minnesota was the best wrestling school in the NCAA. What really blew me away was trying out for the Vikings. Hadn't played football since high school. Gets an invite to training camp, and though he didn't make it, he's the final cut and is still offered a league minimum contract and a spot on the taxi squad. It's friggin nuts when you think about it.

I love how he integrates wrestling/ Grappling, and immediately Pounds, as opposed to Submit his victims... But could you imagine. If BROCK mastered Submssion Wrestling/ Jiujitsu??? Think about that. Brock Lesnar can literally run through every Professional Wrestling roster on this roster. He might have some problem in NJPW and Mexico with shoot artists but other than them, there's nobody that can go toe to toe with that guy. Once in a generation athlete. Still moves better than a normal 30 year old, juiced up or not. I read somewhere "It's time of little men", yes, sure but only until Brock Lesnar steps through those ropes. Dude oozes charisma just because of his pure machismo. No real effort whatsoever. Wtf is that guy. Hunts moose, farms in his free time and F5s people when he feels like it. What a monster.

I completely disagree. We could easily say poor Brock in the first fight frank woulda broke his arm if it was real life and if he hadn’t tapped it’s broken right down the middle of frank so pleased. We’re not saying poor Brock because the man is a champion and a real man as is Frank and I believe he deserves the same respect. Second fight comes around Brock wins the first round easy with his takedowns and mini ground n pound w his lunchbox hands, comes out again in the second doing the same, but he let Mir up being cocky and mir caught him and then really caught him with a knee to the face before Brock realized holy shit this isn’t as easy as I thought I need to get him back down in a hurry because he will mess me up striking. So he goes in for the easy takedown Frank obviously has no answer for him but right before he goes down he throws a flying knee to the face which also connects great, doesn’t seem to phase Brock much and he gets on top for his signature ground n pound and this time instead of barely raising his fists and bopping him like he did the first fight he decides to lift his arms and hands about a foot this time which is still super weird but with Brock’s inhuman size and strength he finishes the fight within seconds and it’s done.. I don’t feel embarrassed or think poor frank for one second he went 2 fights the beast incarnate and came out with one of them he proved that he’s a champion which we already knew could have been one of the greatest heavyweight champs ever if he didn’t crash his motorcycle during the very prime of his career and was absolutely never the same fighter ever again after that.. he was a great fighter and has a hell of a comeback but was never the same guy who could have been one of the very best ever which he still is just not to the level he was on the trajectory to be. If anything I’d say Brock embarrassed himself with his dirtbag/white trash celebration speech that was pretty low class and super redneck trash.. anyways we all love Brock. I sure love Brock and he also could have been one of the greatest ever if not the greatest if he skipped WWE and never got diverticulitis like Rogan and everyone else always brings up its very true and possible. But Brock didn’t have more talent than frank he was clearly just bigger stronger and overpowering helped out by a host of steroids which is something that nobody ever had questions about with Mir.. I went to the same high school as frank He graduated like 5 or 6 years before I got to the school, but our wrestling coach was his old coach who helped him win a state championship in Nevada and it wouldn’t be unusual to go in for a private workout with our wrestling coach (who also taught other aspects of MMA and has been forever in Las Vegas), and to see Frank in the weight room lifting with us or out on the mats fucking around with us kids it was awesome. So i obviously have huge love and respect for Frank Mir but that in no way had an impact on my opinion of what really happened and completely respectfully disagreeing with you gentlemen and your take on the event. But yeah Frank would come by, Forrest Griffin was there all the time and he was never a student. The boxer sugar Rashad Moseley I believe his name was awesome dude. You couldn’t beat those training sessions when you got the top guys in the school just like 2 to 5 of us tops with our coach and all these legends that we looked up to immensely. Couldn’t beat that intensity and wanting to show our skills to the real big dogs.. too bad Brock want there training lmao now that would have been fucking intense and intimidating like a mfer lmao..

@dantemagliari1073 You wrote an entire book here, bud. However, I enjoyed the stories nonetheless. Frank Mir was an absolute phenom at heavyweight. Just as dangerous on the ground as anyone on the planet at the time. But, he had better stand-up than the best grapplers of the time. Which is why he was so incredibly dangerous. I'll never forget when he shattered both Nog and Silvas arm. I was immensely impressed when Brock was able to smash him in that second fight. Just as impressed that he was able to beat one of my all time favorites Randy "the natural" Couture.

He appeared in several pre season games with the Vikings and per true Brock style he was an absolute force to be reckoned with on the field. Sadly, before NFL kicked off Brock was riding his personal motorcycle when he was a horrific accident and suffered many career ending injuries from head to toe including his pelvis, groin, and broken jaw and required surgeries resulting in the Vikings having to cut him. After that he turned to martial arts, wrestling, and UFC. I really hate when people mention his NFL time and state, "Brock was ultimately cut from the team during pre season" as if he was cut due to being a terrible football player when that was not the case. He's a wholesome good ol' country boy and whether you like him or hate him, the dude is one hell of an athlete and not many would have been able to endure half the things he did and still become successful in either WWE, UFC, or the NFL.

Most of the MMA Fax were spot on with the men that he wrestled in his last match of his first tenure in WWE, whose name Bill Goldberg, not Goldenberg. Also, the final event is called wrestlemania, not wrestling mania, and he was the first man to pin undertaker at wrestlemania, not SummerSlam

Lesnar didn't do anything impossible. Brock trained in wrestling since being a little kid, he was tough, strong and a national champion who was athletically gifted.

I'm a HUGE fan of Brock Lesnar. "The next big thing" indeed! Brock Lesnar will be far more known as a WWE wrestler compared to a UFC fighter. Wrestling is always more entertaining than UFC but I am glad he was able to do both. I'm also glad he's back doing pro wrestling. I'll take wrestling over UFC any day.

He'll never be a MMA legend but Brock Lesnar's career was still a successful endeavor. How many people can start in something like that when they're pushing 30 and win at the top levels with barely any experience? Also consider the shit state of his heath. If there are two things I admire about Brock, it's his honesty and he has the balls to go all out and try something new he wants. He was a top level WWE guy in the early to mid 00s, he could've just put up with the bullshit (lots of other wrestlers do) and raked in money for the following 10-20 years doing what he was told to do. He burned that bridge for the really slim chance of making the NFL with zero college experience (didn't work out) then UFC, which did work out, and was able to use his success there to leverage a comfortable position there.

Truthfully the last thing I really just want to see Brock at least try his hands, yes gigantic freaking Goliath cinder block hands, at is boxing. He is 46 currently. He could definitely get that done before 50. Get him somebody, and he's gonna win.
