Interesting plot for a movie: dude floats off into space after an accident, records this. Eventually an alien civilization recovers the body, studies the suit, and uses whatever DNA is left to clone a human fetus and thus newborn. They are advanced enough to figure out how this organism should be cared for. The rest of the plot is this human trying to get back to a species it never met.

There is a fourth kind, where all of your affect on the world is erased. Luckily, this fourth kind never happens, because your affect on the world, even nameless, will ripple forever through space and time as a butterfly effect. Even a single cell organism from a billion years ago still matters, because that cell produced a bit oxygen into the atmosphere, which formed the basis of much life to come. Good deeds and actions you take, no matter how small, has an effect on those around you and the ones around them. You might be an insignificant speck in the cosmos, but you will never truly be forgotten once life ceases for you. Even if your name is lost, the world is different nonethless.

@FriedFreya4 жыл бұрын
That is my greatest debate and hope for this conscience... I believe the collective of individuals that remember a "past life" are legitimate, and their minds can only remember the lives they lived on Earth as humans because any lives lived beyond that would break our current comprehension. But also: anything we've dreamed/imagined is possibly real somewhere in the multiverse. We could be living countless lives all at once.

If we don't remember our past lives, than that is in no way different from just ceasing to exist.

Why would that even be an option? Because you were able to think that it is? The more reasonable assumption is that your consciousness is a result of some combination of processes in your brain, and when you die, so does your consciousness. You die. Like fish. Like birds. Like mammals. You don't assume these other animals go to a special place or another body, right? They're just dead. But, they're dead: They won't care that that's their condition, because there's no one left to care.

I honestly thinks on his thoughts when he was sending his final speech was too underrated. As someone who's been there it is something that you would think of often, we all shape things on what is beautiful, entertaining and what not. The civilization that human made and everything along with it, how easily we are stressed due to work, exam and so on but at the end of our life those does not come to mind as we all would just think on how funny our human life has become. We are just a lucky life-form on a floating space in a solar system inside of a galaxy that is carried along by millions of galaxies only to be found inside a universe carrying everything. Comparing our level of stress, thoughts, entertainment and mind toward the universe itself is too hilarious in itself. What we enjoy, cry, stress and anything we experience does not even compare on a scale of what the universe has yet to offer. It makes you really wonder if anything is worth it at all? Everything that you went through what do they mean and why do they matter, no matter how you look at it there's nothing. Even with motivational speech, positivity and anything that goes with it they are just there to make you distance yourself on reality and what its really about, there is nothing and we do not matter. Our goals, our stories, our life just how long could it be there? what will be the remains of YOU after 500 years?
@lydialeal322 жыл бұрын
as someone who did almost die and was then in a coma less than 5 months ago due to a car hitting me on my skateboard after work, I can say there is no proper response to being on the brink of dying. no proper response, no comical respond, and no stupid response, that is if there is any. I know I didn't have the chance to say my final goodbyes because in that moment I didn't even know that I was hit or dying. you're right, there is nothing, there are no reasons because in 500 years, even 100 years post your death what will be left of your memory, accomplishmemts, and legacy? for the average human being, only the people that were alive to know you during your llifetime will keep the memory of you alive, and once they pass on, they too will join you and no longer be known nor remembered. the cycle is a ceaseless one. but to think this way is somewhat beneficial if applied to the proper things but for the most part it would only aid to s downward spiral. yes, your accomplishments!m and life but that shouldn't matter nd those should be last reason to do things
