He actually brought his brand new computer to grandmas for the first time. I actually remember him hooking it up in the dinning room to let us play on it. Grandma and Grandpa was so amazed at it cause they had never seen anything like it. 😝 ❤ I love this Phil he would be very proud of you. I miss him. Those last few years taking care of him were hard on all of us. But I’m glad we got to take care of him at home. I love that our momma was able to do that for him.

@@marlabyroads27 I remember that. The computer was so big and bulky it took up the whole dining room. But man it was so cool to get to play that computer. The games on it at the time looked so amazing even though by today's standards they would look awful. Thank you sissy for saying that I love you. He would be proud of you too and all you've accomplished in nursing. I wish she was still here so he can meet Everly. But we'll see him Grandma and Grandpa Teresa and Rhonda again in Heaven. ♥️

That's beautiful she played Tetris with you. The only game I remember my mom playing with me was Tiny Toon Adventures on the NES. She doesn't play video games anymore too many buttons and too difficult for. But it was a beautiful moment we shared when I was real young. So thank you for bringing that memory back to me. And God bless you and your mother she sounds wonderful.

I also grew up in a single parent situation. Was always just my older brother and mom only. We were poor but my mom still got us a NES with some games then the SNES when it came out. This was a tear jerker man. I miss my mom a lot. Thanks for sharing this story. Your uncle was awesome!

It's awesome that your mom was able to get you that NES and SNES! I can only imagine how much it meant to you and your brother. My mother tried to get me the SNES with Super Mario All Stars packed in for either my birthday or Christmas. But it was sold out everywhere i was sad but understood. Thank you for sharing your story. I know you'll see your mom again one day. God bless you.

Finally finished up this video. My most cherished memory was getting Metal Gear Solid 3d on the 3ds. Aw man it was amazing. I got my 3ds for Christmas one year and the only game I wanted for it was Metal gear. I didn’t get it, but the next year my step dad took me and my brother to GameStop and I found my game and begged him to get me it. I got it… and man I love that game. It hold a special place in my heart. I know it’s not the most heart warming, but one of my earliest gaming memories was metal Gear solid 2 and 4. I would run into the guards in the second game, have them chase me into the lockers and wait for them to find me lol. And man… 4 is just crazy… that octocamo is insane.

Thank you so much Kaiser. I was a mess trying to record it edit. Definitely an emotional experience. I'm glad you liked the video. It took me so long to get to 1K subscribers years and years but I finally did it. And there's no better way to celebrate reaching that accomplishment and by making a video about my uncle.

@@ColdNightsGaming Thank you so much brother. I wish she was still here. So I can introduce him to all my friends. Share so many amazing experiences with him. Watch all the cool new movies and shows I know that he would like. I know he's been gone for so many years now but it's been lonely and hard without him. I can always look forward to my uncle coming down and spending time with me. When I didn't have friends or no one to play with he was always there. 😭 But I know he's in the most beautiful place at peace. And one day I'll see him again. ❤️

Really touching video. Might be your best one yet! My most cherished memory is when I was a kid I really wanted an Everlast bag for school. The holidays were really far away so it was going to be a long wait. One day my mom picked me up from school and she got me the bag but to my surprise inside the bag was Double Dragon for NES. I never got games especially outside of the holidays and I couldn’t believe it. I remember going home and my mom watching me play it. Still one of my best days ever.

Sounds like your uncle took note of you not having a father figure and stepped in to ensure you had an incredible, positive male role model in your life. It's fantastic that you shared so many interests to lead to such epic memories together. This is a thoughtful tribute to him. Well done. As an aside, heh, summons in FF games were always so stellar and tons of fun to unleash, even on weaker monsters. lol I often wondered what it would've been like to experience CC fully removed from CT and any and all expectations that came with it. Dragoon is absolutely one that needs to return, as a remake, or better yet, a return to the world and full on franchise. Heh, funny enough, I bought Grandia on PS1 brand new...and to this day have never yet played it; a friend who borrowed it was the one who even opened it ages ago. ha ha Mark Hamill loves voice work--man, he's done a TON of games! I adore the R&C series--such good games! Congrats on that 1K milestone--let's keep going and building!! Very cool of you to do a giveaway too; can't wait to read through the comments as well.

@@DoYouNerd Thank you so much for the kind and thoughtful reply. I really appreciate it. Yeah he was a truly wonderful man. And we had so many great gaming experiences together. But not just games movies too! I remember fondly him introducing me to Star Wars on VHS He told me about the lure and the characters the force and how everything worked We still have his VHS copies and my mom's room. I remember Lord of the rings being a big huge thing for us. We went every single movie premiere and watched them on the big screen. It was amazing! The wait between each film drop was so excruciating cuz you wanted to know how the story would end. I miss him dearly but I know he's in the best place he could ever be waiting for the day were reunited again. 🥰 Let's keep spreading joy and love in the community.

Wow Phil! AWESOME tribute. He seemed like an awesome man and the perfect role model! I also grew up without a father. :/ It was me, my brother and mother. My mom didnt always have a lot of money. But i remember one Christmas receiving a PS2 !! My brother and i connected it and played it all day! We played NBA Live 2005! I know its a Sports game, but me and my brother were evenly matched and it was an awesome memory ill forever cherish!

I'm so sorry for your loss man. I completely understand. My most precious video game memory is playing Zombies Ate My Neighbors with my dad.
