I used to teach special ed and learned that people are not “lazy.” Ask a teen who has been labeled lazy if they want to play basketball or go to an amusement park and they are happy to move. This fellow seems depressed. I think he needs to aim at a meaningful personal goal like changing jobs, finding a friend group with similar interests, etc.

Truly lazy people rarely recognize they are lazy. I noticed the fidget tool. There is a good chance that he is overwhelmed, anxious, and shut down. That doesn't make it ok, but it does deserve some empathy.

It got out of control a loooong time ago. If they are at work on different shifts, and rarely see each other there is no reason for it to be messy. Thank goodness they don't have children. There is still so much work to be done, especially that mold issue

I can't even imagine if they had a child together if they can't even clean up after themselves. Looks like they both just left dishes, laundry, and junk where they last sat. I make it a point to immediately take the wrapper or trash I have in my hand and put it into the trash. Why put it down on the counter and have to handle it again later since that is double work?

The mold on the ceiling in the kitchen is because there seems to be no ventilation in the kitchen. This is especially problematic because they have a gas stove and boiler in the same room. The kitchen may be illegal and this rental may have other issues too. They literally might be depressed because they don't have oxygen

There is a window and a door leading outside in the kitchen. So no ventilation issue.

I watch these videos as therapy as crazy as it may sound….i watched my mother and brother turn into slobs after my father passed..they moved into a townhouse apartment and from what I was told that that the apartment looked very bad and just let it go…..I would have lost it. I am a very clean person and keep things picked up…however my spare room is a little messy just needs to be cleaned and get rid of junk and clothes I don’t wear anymore as I have gained a little weight (was 115-120 now 160 and 5”8’ in height).
