I met Keith Apicary at a convention years ago, not really knowing who he or Nathan Barnatt were. He was a guest at the convention, and my friend and I were just walking around, having a conversation. Out of nowhere, he pops his head out from the curtain from where his booth was and just joins in on the conversation, asks us if we want a photo, and takes one with us. I always found it awesome that he came to us, in character, really showing the kind of sweet and professional person Nathan is. Would love to meet him again someday!

For those wondering why his uploads on his main channel seemed to be getting ignored. It sounds a lot like the algorithm shadow-banned him starting in 2014. This means that your uploads will never be recommended, and no one will see notifications for them -- not even your subs. It's one of the most weirdly Orwellian things that YT does. You can be shadowbanned for any number of reasons too. If the AI finds something "questionable' about your content, that can be enough, and you'll be shadowbanned without YT ever telling you.

I'm like the only person in my extended circle of friends who actually spots and instantly recognizes Nathan whenever he shows up in anything. Even as a cameo/character actor, he's got quite a presence. He was a slam dunk in Community. When he was in Always Sunny, I freaked and pointed at the screen. I sat through Dirty 30 with my wife and her girlfriends just to see him show up. I love his various characters and get stoked when a new one comes out. Trale, Keith, DAD, and more... the man is a creative genius and a modern physical comedy mastermind. He really is super underrated with how much work and hell he goes through to create such wonderful things, and I think that's sad. I know what it's like to be ignored/stolen/underrated, and I think that's just sad. @NathanBarnatt if you see this, just know that you are starting to gain the recognition you deserve. Nathan is so dang talented. I found him back when I was in high school. His skittles and butterfinger videos were what made me start following him. He’s been in so many commercials and other pieces of media but it is true that no one ever seems to credit him or say who he is. It’s a shame because, in my opinion, he could be one of the best modern day performing comedians

@@snow-gn4pr I'm a jack of all trades, master of none. It's very rare for people to be able to master several skills, usually they end up mastering one or become subpar at multiple things. Most celebrities are the former, for example the pop star rarely, if ever, strays from the genre. The comedian rarely, if ever, strays from comedy. The actor rarely, if ever, strays from acting. It's a special thing when someone can do all three of these things, and do it well, I have yet to see this particular combination come to fruition.

Love this guy. He's got the same fire as Charles Bukowski. He's not in it for fame or anything, he just wants to create his art, he does need to make a living, but he will create things if they make him money or if that costs him money. If everyone was like that, the World would look a lot better.

If your content's being stolen by scumbags, the least you can do is add watermarks to your videos going forward. There's just small things he could do but didn't. Adding your name, and social media and YT links would have gotten more people to look him up and also dissuaded some of those thefts.
