The longer the better when it’s one of yours! I’ve just discovered your channel and I am binge watching every single video, I only hope they hold out until the next one premieres! I’ve rang the bell for this one and the bell for ALL of the others! I appreciate you adding this notification so, I won’t miss a video. I loved the rainy weather cemetery tour of the Brontë family parish. That’s how I found you. I think… or it might’ve been the story of Auld Aggie… I watched them both before the one on Ceaser’s resting place in Rome. Regardless, I’d love to see more, even if you don’t trace the footsteps of antiquity on the long road to Rome and, you’re just wandering around a damp cemetery (lovely atmosphere, tbh) showing us the gravestones or walking along a windswept cowpath aside an autumnal pasture, telling any auld story. Thank you so much!

When we were thinking (or talking) aloud regarding serial killers and going back to the scene of their crimes, in my head I was thinking about the location of where Thomas was found and how it might have been difficult to avoid being seen, should the killer have gone back. But I guess anything is possible and he could well have done so in the very early hours when the streets may have been much quieter?

Such a sad story once again thanks for sharing. So sad when children get murdered and so brutally makes it worse. Feel so sorry for their families 💔 I think that they were lured away by someone unknown to them, probably went willingly trusting whhoever this was nnever thinking that any evil would happen. Whoever did this was scared that his identity would be made known. Such a pity that case went cold. Once again very interesting story going back many years 😢

Sadly, sexual abuse, rape and murder in such circumstances is not unheard of through the centuries - child abuse is something that has happened for a long time to the extent that Fairy Tales were ways to disguise such stories and to warn children to keep away from strangers. In modern times such things seem almost regular in occurrence. The links to some disturbed people in places of authority are not unheard of either. As a story once posed a clue - "The Juwes will not be blamed for nothing", referring to members of a certain "brotherhood" for a Sherlock Holmes story - within the culture of Luciferianism dark sacrifice was practiced by some.

Looking at Thomas’s photo, he might’ve had a form of chromosome disorder. Perhaps Down’s Syndrome. He would have been able to work at age 15, most are able to work by age 20. Especially the type of work he did. All people who have Down’s and other chromosomal conditions that typically affect development have varying degrees of abilities. He seemed quite capable and intelligent. He stuck to a routine, which is characteristic. His mother trusted him implicitly to go and come on a routine that he seemed rarely to deviate from. I think he would only be led off by someone he knew. I thought he might’ve been lured by the comics, even if the date was wrong, too. You both point out interesting possibilities. It makes me consider another possibility and that is the attacker revisiting his crime scene. Maybe he brought the comic strip with him and did that after the death. I wonder if there’s any photos of the strip or a description anywhere. Revisiting the scene is common among sexually motivated serial killers. They are motivated sexually by replaying the crime and gaining feelings that they experienced during the crime, which they want to relive. The killer might’ve derived satisfaction from stuffing comics, specifically to be shocking in exhibitionism. It makes sense that it would have happened within a few days of the crime. Usually, it occurs within days or even up to a few weeks after a murder. It happened in the case of the Green River Killer, Gary Ridgway, also Ted Bundy revisited the bodies of his victims, for gratification purposes. The Atlanta Child Killer Wayne Williams is suspected to have done the same. Another possibility is that it may have been planted intentionally by the killer at a later time, to deceive the police or mislead them about the time of death and means of killing. Did they ever ask his family about that paper? It seems they determined it didn’t belong to him. It’s unfortunate they didn’t know he was there and that they didn’t stake out the scene, if they could have avoided spreading word about it and that, too might’ve endangered others who were warned to go in pairs and not be out alone. All three boys (described so far) have been raised by single/widowed mothers, have varying temperaments and routines and personalities. They have a commonality in where they lived, the nature of attacks, the similarities of places where they were found, being remote or hidden places near to their homes. The places as well would be known to be rarely traveled. They would be places known to the killer, as a local. Otherwise, the killer could not necessarily have known for certain these places were private or, even there (such as the cellar). It’s possible the cellar where Kingston’s skeletal remains were found, was the same place where he was killed. The fact his pants were still pulled down though, not fully off as they would have been if he’d been dragged. So, instead of attacking in one place and then moving the body to another location and leaving it there or in a third, there seems to be a single location for each victim, attack and murder. Otherwise, the scene was restaged by the killer either for gratification of appearance or staging for the arousal of imagining how they would be discovered. In a degrading scene. They are all unusual in being sexually motivated killings and there being so many of them in a relatively short period of time and area. I don’t personally believe the killings were related to the Ripper’s murders. It’s possible the police released the man responsible. It’s highly probable they interviewed him and released him. He was likely keeping up with the police investigation and could have been in contact with the victim’s familles after their death. It would be easier for a single man to approach a single woman or widow, with the pretext of showing sympathy or support, rather than if she were married. Simply to be in proximity with the victims and discuss the cases. One thing, I wouldn’t rule out a younger man, an older boy or a man who was somewhat of a loner. I think the victims felt compelled to go with him, either by threat of a weapon that he could conceal or, by luring them with a promise. It might not have even been anything very valuable, it’s simply the promise of it. He could have told them he needed help with a job and he’d split the money with them or, that he had something interesting he wanted to show them. He could have said he had a lost or injured dog and asked for their help to bring it home. This was long before stranger danger. The term serial killer hadn’t even been invented. The Whitechapel murders would hardly have held any bearing on the conduct of boys, especially with someone they were familiar with from the area. The Whitechapel killings weren’t committed on boys, and there was a strong sentiment that the Whitechapel victims were doing "unwholesome" and loathsome work for alcoholic drinks, which was scorned on basis of religious, cultural and social values. The truth was that they were most likely targeted for the fact they were much more accessible and often alone, vulnerable, both destitute, functionally homeless and often inebriated. This idea was that Jack was targeting prostitutes due to their work and that they reminded Jack of his mother, who had caused him to become a sex-crazed maniac and he resented her, was most likely incorrect. However, the idea was so ingrained that, nearly a century later, in the case of the Yorkshire Ripper, many of Peter Suttcliff’s victims were immediately labeled by police and media as being engaged in prostitution. Some were, however not all were. This was being printed as fact in newspapers and it traumatized many children and families of these victims, who had never known their beloved mother’s to do anything like that and were shocked by the news. They were also taunted and told that their mothers had brought it in themselves. It was wrong, even for those who were involved with sex work. It was deadly for women who believed they were safe from being targeted, since they didn’t engage in that sort of work. It was not until a young girl was attacked, educated and working in a job considered to be very respectable at the time, who had a spotless reputation. She was found on the street in front of a park and had been dragged. Another girl had been beaten in the back of her head in a sudden, frenzied attack and police didn’t connect it with the murders bc she didn’t fit the profile, being only a 17 year old girl who was a typical teenager. There’s a very good documentary on the Yorkshire Ripper that goes into the case and sociological aspect, if anyone is interested in it. I’d be glad to share a link. Well , you’ve done a wonderful job with this! I hadn’t heard about this case, before. I’m certainly interested to learn more. It’s very tragic and details are heartbreaking. Even though the families and killer(s) are long gone, it seems still unfair that there’s a story untold and their killer remains unknown (at least to those of us still here living on earth). The fact it remains unsolved is tantalizing. I like the mystery aspect and the puzzle of psychological implications. You’ve certainly given me something to ponder that I will not soon forget. Your thoughts, questions, suppositions and insights are all enriching to consider and share with you and others. I know I’ll be sharing this documentary. You have such genuinely compassionate hearts and you have created an outstanding piece of work. The victims are given a chance to express themselves through your words, for them to be remembered anew by who they were, not simply their ending. Thank you! ❤️ I know I’ve said too much. Please excuse me. You’ve really inspired my heart and mind, riled me up for these little boys and I’m trying to make some sense of it. TL;DR please read the last three paragraphs, or even just the final one. I know it’s very long. I do apologize for leaving such long comments. I’ll refrain from that, in future.

Based in the USA is a similar channel to this which I enjoy yours too by the way, he leaves a Yellow rose on the graves of the ones he tells the history/story of their life and what happened. Sometimes the person hasn't got a headstone so especially if they have died horrible eg murdered or in a horrific accident he raises money from the subscribers and he himself to get a headstone for the forgotten person . Just an idea but why don't you suggested to your subscribers to do that for that poor vulnerable boy x

Yep, we also watch Ron (FotF) and he is brilliant. As for headstones and raising money, we aren't as big a channel as Ron's and after our experiences of dealing with councils and other authorities when it comes to plaques and the like, it has kind of left a sour taste as the amount of paperwork and red-tape we have to get over the line has at times just been horrendous. It's a good idea, trying to help by having headstones or markers made, but one we might have to think about in the near future.

There is a very good old idiom relevant to the press. "Good news is no news and does not sell". Only the most shocking or macabre news sells with the exception of news about famous people. But even then the press will be like vultures on a carcass if there is any scandal about these famous people. The very public life of the British Royal family makes easy pickings. In this case I wonder if that child reprobate belonged to a gang of robbers and muggers which the local police did not know about. Maybe the families knew their own children hung out with him and covered up this fact. Schoolyard bullies always pick on quiet and naive children and that sweet quiet boy sounds like a perfect victim. Maybe the bad child knew who had done that and an older member of this group decided that he had to be silenced. Maybe the story of Oliver is taking it a bit far but maybe an adult man enticed children to rob people and steal from people and lured these poor children in with promises of wealth and things they could not afford. Maybe after these horrific murders he kidnapped the other two children and relocated to somewhere where the loot would be better. So many possibilities and few answers. I live in Cape Town in South Africa and I was involved through our religious youth group in trying to educate our children about the dangers of drug trafficking. The drug lords have an evil way to get young people to ferry drugs from one location to another and to sell them on the streets. They target very poor children below the age of 17 preferably even 5 years younger. They show off their fancy cars and rich life style and tempt the boys with the promise of great riches for the child if they ferry the drugs and/or sell them for them. But they use the sick story that these children will be able to give their parents a better life and (especially in the case of single mothers) their parents will not have such a difficult task to provide for them and will not have to work so hard. These naive children are easily hooked. After one delivery the drug lord then tells them that they need to try the drug so they know what they are selling. The children take the drug and normally they are given something like heroin which is instantly addictive. Then the children fund themselves working for free to feed their addiction. If you think this is bad, it gets worse. In our country children under the age of seventeen cannot be fully convicted for drug running. That is why the drug lords use children under 17. The children do not realise that when they turn 17 the drug lords execute them. This way they try to evade the law. Terrible but true.

Poor kid. Now quiet with God 🙏and at total peace.❤ I think there probably was a nice headstone paid for-but interfered with by curious seekers over the yrs, they finally took it down or it was stolen. Either way, he was loved by many strangers in the end and, is at total peace now 🙏

The killer in my opinion must have known the area im thinking that he was from another area and using the trains to move away from the area im sure its the same person who has committed these awful murders and he sexually assaulted these lads and killed them so he couldn't be recognised he probably killed the other two lads then using the train for a quick get away im sure its not jack the ripper because he hated prostitutes and he killed them other killers new that he was being blamed for all murders at that time and they could get away from it great video really enjoyed many thanks jeff 😀👍😇

Thomas 's mum said he was a delicate and shy boy so he imo would not have met with a stranger early in the morning ( when few people would have been in that area ) he was meeting someone he knew
@Daysofhorror-vickie3 ай бұрын
Yes, I think Thomas must have known him somehow, though work of friends with him being a delicate boy. Thanks for watching and commenting Barbara. Have a lovely week

Just an idea, start a fundraiser to pay for a headstone? I’ll donate ✔️
@DaysofHorrorАй бұрын
It's such a big thing to undertake, which we have done previously. Then there is the issue with 'red tape', which again, we found to be a massive headache when it comes to councils and getting permission, etc, to erect a plaque or headstone. It's just a huge thing to do and takes up a lot of time. It's something we just don't want to organise again. We don't mind helping with donations should someone else take it on.

Just a thought, but , why no start up a fund (like go fund me) for just such things as the unmarked grave of poor little lads. Like Thomas Smith. I would donate and I am sure many other subscribers would love to. Probably he has no living relatives to care.❤

Well Chris and vickie i knew you wouldn't disappoint and your certainly didn't this video was great. I think this murderer was a copycat jack the ripper. Those poor 2 boys. My 10 year old boy is like Thomas very delicate learning age off a 4/5 year old so i understand what delicate is. Well done Chris and vickie
@DaysofHorror3 ай бұрын
We struggled to try and word it correctly when mentioning Thomas, as we both felt his mother was intimating he maybe had learning difficulties and we didn't want to offend people by mentioning it in the wrong way, but thats what we both think was being said in the newspaper cuttings.
@emmajulian87163 ай бұрын
@@DaysofHorror yes definitely learning difficulties bless him my 10 year son as learning difficulties and my 5 year old girl is none verbal autistic so I completely understand what was being said and you both said it in a great respectful way

Perhaps the killer came back to the body to play with the body and he stuffed the magazine down his mouth because of a strange reason known only by the killer . Also would it be normal for a young person to carry a walking stick no it must of been an older man . I think that would a big clue .
@DaysofHorror3 ай бұрын
I always thu k about the walking stick. From what the police say, it has one of those large, rounded knob handles, so I can't but think it's possibly someone older and with money. Some business type of man. I know that may just be me stereotyping, but that's my thought.
@Daysofhorror-vickie3 ай бұрын
Yes when I discussed this story with Chris we both think it was a older man, just everything in our opinion relates to it being an older man! Thanks for watching and commenting 😊

We said we wouldn't like to walk those areas during the night. Manchester has a pretty rough name to it with the homeless and crime, and from all accounts, the area we were walking in during this video can be sketchy. We were in Manchester that morning on a completely different trip, so we decided to use the opportunity to do this story as it's one I've wanted to do for a couple of years. Luckily, as it was the morning, the area was quiet for most parts, except for that annoying drone sound you can hear in the background coming from a nearby warehouse.

All these stories we do are very much true and can be easily found in historical records, newspapers etc.

If it was someone travelling through it would be much easier to abduct a small boy of seven than a teenager,you could drug him and carry him onto the train in your arms, something you would struggle to do with a teenager,plus being rather noticeable.

Have you ever thought about Joseph maybrick some said that he was the Jack the ripper I think I heard stories that he was on drugs or something in a fit of rage killed the two boys and killed the other two boys that were not seen again have you not thought about it
@DaysofHorrorАй бұрын
I know about James Maybrick and his links to possibly being JTR. We covered his story a couple of years ago and visited his grave. But I've never heard of him being linked to killing boys?

Love ❤️ your story guys but there was also a stick used was it one of those expensive metal top hard wood sticks maybe the one you pull a sword from that only used by the rich Was it one of his family the first suspects in any crime he trusted no one I hope not but I don't think he was killed straight away killers do take trophies 🏆 and leave messages was the comic page reference to his slowness reference of him as a foolish maybe his talk was childish his mothers reference of him as delicate child would more than likely say he could have had TB typhoid that left him prone to sickness killers have the habit of catch me if you can narcissistic nature they are there was that kind of game going on someone befriended these victims they can spot a person with low self worth and a child that lost in life and work on it the two boys had no fathers around a father figure came on the scene a trusted person which was big at that time a policeman a church man doctor teacher people they been told to obey the comic in the mouth would be key and what that person ment to the killer the killer knew the boys he knew the area red scarf colour means sacrifice he knew the meaning of what he put in the mouth
