the resolution switch at the end freaked me out cause i had no realization about the first resolution switch when the tuskens were fleeing the dragon emerging from the cave, it was so seemless.

The music in the Mandalorian truly is amazing. I am happy to see a Swedish Composer so talented as Ludwig Göransson, he truly has lived up to making iconic Western Space Opera music worthy of the original legacy of John Williams.

The dragon went after the Raider instead of the Bantha because he was running and it could sense his movement. Kinda like the sandworms of Dune, they hunt by vibrations.

The crazy thing is that we never see the full Krayt dragon. When I first saw this, I thought perhaps it was worm-like, but there's model designs on the internet showing what the show creators envisioned a full dragon will look like, and the creature is about 3 times the size of what we see, and with many legs. It just prefers to use a sonic ability to "liquify" the sand then move through it using the many legs. As vile as it is, the flesh-dissolving stomach acid is every bit as terrifying as classic dragon fire. I'm seriously impressed by how the show creators took a background decoration of a collection of alien creature bones in the original movie, and turned it into a creature more terrifying than just about any other Star Wars monster to date.

Hi Emme ! That orb found in the dragon is a pearl. Krayt Dragon pearl are very rare and precious. It's highly prized in jewelry, and for the Tusken it's a symbol of power and virility. If treated in a certain way, it can even be used as an alternative to a Kyber crystal for a lightsaber.

The cute elephant thing is called a Bantha. The creepy guy who sabotaged little Anakin's podracer said "Bantha poodoo" to Anakin. When old Obi-Wan and Luke came back to the homestead Obi-Wan told Luke that it was not the tusken raiders who invaded because they always march their bantha in single file. This is the first time we see them march single file. We have seen the Krayt dragon before. In ANew Hope, R2 and C3PO separate, we see a gigantic skeleton. This is the remains of the Krayt dragon.

That sphere is a Krayt Dragon's "Pearl". In lore, they are known to have properties similar to Kyber Crystals and are able to power a lightsaber.

I’m so glad you made it to season 2! As good as Andor was, this is my favorite season for Star Wars TV shows. There were a couple of really cool Easter eggs in this episode. Pell I’d droid that projected the map is R5-D4, the droid from A New Hope that Uncle Owen was going to buy before it blew its motivator. You can even see the smoke stain still on top of the droid. The speeder that Cobb was riding was a pod racer engine. It was the same type of engine from Anakin’s pod. And the Pearl inside the Kraft dragon is from a book. They were super valuable and could even be used in lightsabers.

The pearl was also in the Knights of the Old Republic game. You could keep it as a lightsaber part or hand it over to the local Tusken Raider tribe

I wasnt expecting you to recall the Joopa (the sand worm from rebels season 2 that Rex, Gregor and Wolffe were hunting for food), but it makes sense that you might think it was one of those. Alas, the Joopa was on Seelos, not Tatooine, so a different desert planet. This is, as the episode says, a Krayt Dragon, a terrifying monster which dominates the desert sands. They were first introduced in the old Knights of the Old Republic videogame, but they didnt look this awesome there. Also, the Krayt Dragon Pearl that the Tuskens extracted from the dragon's carcass at the end is an extremely valuable material which can even serve as a substitute for a Kyber crystal when building a lightsaber! "Dank Farrik" is a star wars curse/swear word, similar to "Karabast" which you'll have heard in Rebels.

I am surprised you did recognize the Marshals armor. Krayt Dragons is not common featured in Star Wars content so seeing one in the season 2 premiere blew my mind when I saw this :D

The round object the Tuskans held up and cheered is a Kryat pearl. They are very valuable since they are formed in the stomach of a Krayt Dragon and thus rare. The idea is actually taken from a Star Wars video game series where is was loot for killing a Krayt Dragon and has now been officially canonized in Star Wars proper with this episode.

Sarlacc is what Luke was fed to in ep. 6. Krayt Dragon skeleton was behind C-3PO in a New Hope when he left R2-D2. Many callbacks this season. Be on your toes, Star Wars lore exponentially increases from here. (Marshal's speeder might be Anakin's engine!)

Baby Yoda knew some serious stuff was about to go down so he went to his happy place...lol 😆 The thing the Krayt Dragon ate was a Bantha. They are usually seen as mounts for Tusken Raiders i.e. Sand People. 😅 The Sarlacc is a tentacled monster that usually resides in a pit. Waiting patiently for its prey to approach, then wrapping its tentacles around it to bring it to its mouth. Last seen in Return of the Jedi when Jabba the Hutt was going to make Han Solo walk the plank. Then Luke intervened. 😮 That wasn't a Krayt Dragon egg... it was a pearl. Highly prized by the Tusken. 😅

Hey emme, I'm sure you've figured it out by now. Alot of people recognize the green helmet instantly but there are clues to who the armor belongs to. The armor doesn't quite fit the Marshall. He got it off Jawas from Tatooine. The series takes place after Return of the Jedi where if you recall, Boba Fett fell into the Sarlacc pit on Tatooine during the fight between Luke, Leia & Han versus Jabba's men after the gang freed Han. Alot of people presumed Boba got swallowed and died. At the end of this episode, we see the face of the cloaked man following Mando and the Child. While we've never seen Boba's face in live-action before, we know he's the son & technically a clone of Jango Fett. The cloaked man was played by Temuera Morrison, who played Jango & the clones troopers in the Prequels! (He returned to Star Wars after 20 years and briefly played a clone in Kenobi series as well) As a fan, realizing Boba survived the Sarlacc pit especially if you saw RotJ in 1983 is kinda amazing. There's also rumors that Temuera Morrison might play live action Captain Rex in the Ahsoka series!

The Sarlacc pit was seen in Return of the Jedi. The actor seen at the end was Temuera Morrison. He played Django Fett, Rex, and every other clone soldier. I was hoping you recognized the armor belonging to a certain bounty hunter seen in the movie franchise?

3:53 baby yoda knows that when Mando gets his weapons ready he needs to close up to stay protected. 7:43 for those that seem the original trilogy would recognize the armor as Boba Fett’s armor. 8:18 Mandalorians have different factions that believe certain things and some believe you don’t show your face. They believe your face is the helmet. They also believe that only those that took the creed or are family can wear the armor. 9:55 sand thing is a Krayt dragon in Episode 4 you see the skeleton of one. 10:29 Mando is very protective of Baby Yoda and trusts really no one to watch him if he can help it. 11:33 I don’t believe it was scripted but was kept in cause that would probably happen if you were scurrying away like that. 13:40 those are Massiffs they’re Tusken Raiders pets. 14:18 one of the Tusken actors is deaf and helped create the sign language they use to talk. 15:34 the one that has to take the Bantha I figure lost the bet. 15:37 watch Episode 6 and you’ll see what a Sarlaac is. 26:17 that is Boba Fett.

10:25. As a super nerd fan this moment right here was when I fell i love with "new" Star Wars under Filoni. This sequence shows the difference between world-building and lazy easter egging. Cob Vanth's backstory is from the Eu novels, on Tatooine from the orig trig, wearing Bobba Fett's armor, and if you didn't notice he's riding an engine from Annakin's pod racer.

Seems you forgot what a sarlac is. Return of the Jedi, sarlac pit was what Jabba tried to throw Luke and everyone else in. And the “mysterious figure “ should be recognizable. The armor the Marshall wore should be as well. I know you only watched everything once, so it’s understandable that you might miss sone of these details.

It was released a few months before Season 2 that you are now watching came out. So no spoilers in it. It would be a good reaction, but music does have copyright issues on YT. But regardless you should give it a watch on your own if nothing else. :)

The object the Tuskens were cheering at the end was a Krayt Dragon Pearl. Similar to a pearl from an oyster. It is a precious gem that is extraordinarily valuable. Also, in Star Wars "Legends"(what "THEY"[idiots currently in charge of Star Wars[NOT: Dave Filoni nor Jon Favreau] call Published Star Wars Lore [Established Lore created and accepted DECADES before most of "Them" were born] that has not been made Star Wars Canon{YET}) it can be used to power a light saber just like Khyber Crystals can. Supposedly, Jedi Knight A'sharad Hett(who is a Tusken Raider[Sand People]'s light saber is powered by a Krayt Dragon's Pearl. My FANDOM will be fully healed when "THE SEQUEL TRILOGY" is relegated to the What-Iferverse and THE REAL Sequels are made. Int: Jedi Temple Meditation Chamber A lone figure dressed in the robes of a Jedi, with a wizened yet kind face sits motionless as if in a deep trance. Resting with folded legs on a stark yet comforting divan. Suddenly the figure startles out of his trance , "Thank the Force that I'm not from that Universe," Luke Skywalker, Grand Master of the Jedi Order exclaims! The door to the chamber opens just as suddenly as the exclamation of the Jedi Grand Master and multiple younglings hurriedly enter the chamber and engulf Luke in fervent embraces. Each youngling shouting, "Grandpa Luke! Grandpa Luke! Tell us another story about what you and Auntie Leia did after the Second Deathstar was destroyed!" And another figure robed like a Jedi enters the meditation chamber behind the younglings, this one also with a wizened yet still ethereally beautiful face, smiling as she gently cordons off Luke from the exuberant younglings saying, "Please children, give Grandpa Luke some more time to gather his strength. He just returned from a distant journey." And then subtly whispering to Luke, "You ok, my Love? I felt your agitation..." "I'm ok, Mara," Luke says to her as she a looks at him with doting concern. A sarlacc is the creature that ate Boba fet in episode 6. A sarlacc pit is what Boba fell into. The armor Cobb was wearing was Bobas armor. The final face we see is the same face as all the clones, but younger than a clone should look. So it must be Boba. A clone without accelerated aging
