Great reaction! 😊 This is my favorite episode of the series so far. Mark Hamill was in fact there on the set for that last scene along with a stunt double who looks similar to how Mark looked in Return of the Jedi. There's a really good behind the scenes look on how the Luke Skywalker scenes were brought to life. No spoilers, but you need to be sure to watch "The Book of Boba Fett" before the season 3 of "The Mandalorian" comes out. Again no spoilers, but you will be super confused going into the third Mandalorian season once it comes out. If you decide to continue on with the Star Wars shows, the rest of the release order is: "The Bad Batch", "The Book of Boba Fett", "Obi-Wan Kenobi"(be sure to watch the prequel trilogy first), and "Andor"(be sure to watch Rogue One: A Star Wars Story first)will be coming out in three weeks. Looking forward to your next reaction. 😊

Young lady, many men, including myself, cried at this episode. I cried as soon as I realized it was Luke, then I balled when he revealed his face. See, I saw the first Star Wars when I was 4 1/2 years old, in theater, in 1977. Luke has been my childhood hero for a long time. When this episode came out, it had been 38 years since Return of the Jedi. We never got to see Grandmaster Jedi Luke Skywalker. Then this episode happened. Even more, they brought in Mark Hamill to reprise his iconic role! You are most definitely in good company in crying. This was the most emotional episode of any show I have ever seen. I won't dare spoil anything, but be ready for some possible emotional moments ahead. It's too bad you hadn't seen Clone Wars and Rebels prior to this. Ahsoka Tano would've meant more to you, and Bo-Katan as well. See, the voice actress for Bo-Katan is the same person who played her in The Mandalorian. You'll just have to watch the animated shows for the rest. There is a tribute to Ahsoka Tano I could point you to if you'd like to see it. It was made before this show aired, meaning no one knew she would be in the show.

The question of the Fetts being mandos was around for a while. In Legends continuity there was no question about it, they _were_ 100%. In new canon, a mandalorian of different ideology claimed Jango was just a bounty hunter who got mando armor, and a reference book or two said Jango claimed his homeworld was a mandalorian one. Then The Tragedy finally confirmed that Jango at least was indeed mandalorian. I find it very interesting that Boba doesn’t fully identify as one, though not unsurprising. Jango trained him to be a bounty hunter and he lived as such most of his life, and didn’t even wear the armor until he was a teen/young adult

One main reason the Mandolorians have issue with Boba, is because he's a clone. His "father" was a foundling and considered a Mandolorian.
@IggyStardust19672 жыл бұрын
3:54 - Jango Fett was indeed Mandalorian (He was a Foundling, like Din Djarin). However, Boba, being a clone, is not considered to be one, by Mandalorian standards. Boba took his "father's" armour, and repainted it for his own use. Remember from Attack of the Clones; Boba was an "unaltered" clone. So he ages normally, and didn't have the Inhibitor Chip that the clones in the Grand Army had.

I think the reason why Bo-Katan had such beef with Boba Fett is because she was around during the Clone Wars, and every single clone was based off of Jango Fett, only altered to accept orders easier and with rapid aging so that a fully-grown clone could be ready in ten years, not twenty. Part of Jango's payment was an unaltered clone for himself, and that was his son, Boba Fett. I think that Bo-Katan hears Boba's voice and immediately, her mind thinks something like, "This is just some damned clone wearing Mandalorian armor. How dare he?!" Hence why when Boba said the armor belonged to his father, she said, "Don't you mean your donor?" as in his gene donor. To her, seeing the armor of her people being worn by what she sees as an artificial person - one that she saw mass-produced once upon a time - was a horrific insult. As for why Boba calls Bo-Katan 'princess,' well, that's a story you should discover for yourself. ^_^

Hey, Abi! Peyton Reed, the MCU's "Ant-Man" trilogy guy, directed the finale. Creator Jon Favreau promises the third season will be a Mandalorian version of "Game of Thrones"! A tearful Season Finale concludes one major arc and leaves many tantalizing plot threads unresolved! Here's my take on Episode 16, "The Rescue": Boba Fett brings the Lambda-class shuttle to a standstill with his ion cannons which disrupt electrical systems as seen when the Rebellion used them against the Star Destroyers orbiting Hoth in "Empire" or when the Separatist dreadnought 'Malevolence' used them against Republic cruisers in "Clone Wars". Lambda-class shuttles transport Imperial VIPs and this one is ferrying Dr. Pershing, played again by Omid Abtahi, who proves especially cooperative. I don't believe the good doctor has any love for the Empire and has been coerced into Gideon's transfusion project. He has always been sympathetic toward Grogu. We get another glimpse of varying Imperial perspectives: instant defector and true believer. The believer kills his disloyal compatriot, taunts Cara and laments the millions lost on the Death Star! We learn that Cara's teardrop tattoo is the emblem of Alderaanian survivors like herself. As the 'Slave-1' makes planetfall, we see Bo-Katan's ship, 'The Gauntlet', parked in the shipyard. Katee Sackhoff returns as Bo-Katan Kryze and Mercedes Varnado, aka the WWE's Sasha Banks, returns as Koska Reeves. Mercedes gets to show off her rassling moves in a quick tussle with Boba Fett. The hostility between Boba and the gals is for THREE REASONS: He is a clone and considered less than a person making him unworthy to wear the armor. His sigil is that of his father Jango's mentor, Jaster Mereel, a former leader of all Mandalore whose bitter enemies were the Death Watch sect to which Bo-Katan once belonged. Lastly, he disparages Mandalore as a lost world the Empire devastated during The Purge in which they bombarded the surface with such heavy laser fire that the superheated sandy soil was fused into glass! All-girl fire team infiltrate Gideon's cruiser by cleverly blocking the launch tube with the shuttle and power through to the bridge making mincemeat of stormtroopers while Din races to lock down the Dark Troopers in cold storage before they're fully charged! Punishing Mandalorian vs. Dark Trooper duel! The beskar proves durable against a relentless pounding that warps the bulkhead around Din's unyielding helmet and the spearpoint penetrates the Trooper's armor plating! The rest of the platoon gets spaced out of the bay! Mando vs. the Moff! Gideon tricks Din into lowering his guard by accepting a truce but then savagely attacks! It's spear vs. saber with the blade superheating the shaft but Gideon goes down! Grogu is rescued but the Empire has his blood! Din vs. Bo? The Lady Kryze refuses the Darksaber as she didn't earn it in battle against Gideon which could potentially put her at odds with Djarin. Gideon stokes the discord and conceals a fallen blaster. The Dark Troopers return to the cruiser and methodically storm the bridge battering the blast shields! It's a last stand! A lone X-wing arrives and a hooded figure with a familiar BLACK GLOVE and GREEN LIGHTSABER cuts through Dark Troopers like butter! Grogu's call to a Jedi has been answered! Gideon makes a desperate final play, seizes the hidden gun, unloads on Bo-Katan, attempts to kill Grogu and tries to off himself before Cara disarms him! Bo-Katan's armor saves her life while Din shields Grogu with his armored body! LUKE SKYWALKER and R2-D2! Digitally de-aged and deep faked with an 'uncanny valley' "Return of the Jedi"-era face, MARK HAMILL voices his iconic role! Din publicly removes his helmet, says an emotional farewell and advises his ward to "NOT BE AFRAID". Does Grogu complete his training before the disaster revealed in the Sequel trilogy? Who knows? POST-CREDIT SCENE: Obese Bib Fortuna, Jabba's Twi-lek major domo, holds court in Jabba's throne room on Tatooine. Boba Fett and Fennec Shand arrive blasting Gamorrean, Weequay and Nikto guards, blow a hole in Fortuna and mount the dais. Boba shoves Fortuna's bloated corpse to the floor and takes the throne for himself. A new era in the Underworld begins and a new show is announced: "THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT". The show actually becomes "The Mandalorian" Season 2.5! Abi, the sooner you start on "Clone Wars", the sooner it'll get done!

Idk man, I'd say most of the hate towards him is because during the great purge Boba was happily working with the empire. He gave not a single care to Mandalore as a planet while they were massacred. They are totally justified saying he's a disgrace to his armor with that in mind.
@UncleMilo2 жыл бұрын
@@mathies3598 I imagine that's true as well. I was just going with the line when he called Jengo his father and the reply was "Don't you mean your donor?"
