I wonder when and where Lucas said that. A Jedi needs years of rigorous training from infancy onwards. Luke is 99% self-taught over the course of 4 years. Obi-Wan did not live long enough and he couldn't have stayed more than a few days with Yoda. He would stand no chance against a fully trained Jedi from the Old Republic times.

I think people watching including myself didn't think they would bring in the main characters of the original movies. Boba Fett, although well known, is a secondary character. Even Lando is higher in importance. The Mandalorian has been pulling heavily from the animated series so people thought they would continue. Or bring back "what if" characters like Mace Windu. So for them to tap into MAIN characters like Luke and R2-D2...that was unprecedented AND it paid off massively for the fandom and the future of the Star Wars franchise! Can you believe they were able to keep it a secret? Even Mark Hamill was shocked and he himself kept it under wraps until his tweet "Seen anything good on TV lately?"

I read his tweet on Saturday after.... Jon and Dave were in planning stages for Season 2 when they contacted Mark Hamill about an appearance of Luke. Just like Empire Strikes Back, Mark kept another secret (Darth's Luke father). He can keep secrets. ESB, Carrie Fisher and others were surprised of the revealing of Darth being father of Luke and Leia. She was kinda miffed of Mark for not telling her of the secret. But he contractual obligated not to divulged any information or be fired and sued.

i love how they organized the shots to steadily reveal that it is in fact Luke. first the X-wing, then the robes, then the lightsaber, then the lightsaber color, then the hilt and glove, then his real hand. definitely intentionally tiered that way

Brad Mark Hamill's (Luke) body double is a British actor named Max Lloyd-Jones. Sebastian Stan did offered his service if needed. Mark dubbed the lines. "Deepfake" Luke is done by CGI at I believed ILM. They used updated version software that was used for Rogue One when Carrie Fisher and Peter Cushing's faces were their body doubles. Peter's double mimicked Peter's voice too. I have a feeling that there will be more "Deepfake" as they bring back characters in that timeline.

So, quick note, Beskar is lightsaber resistant not lightsaber proof. True Jedi and Sith often augmented they're normal strength (which was usually already impressive do to the intense training they needed) using the force. A true Jedi or Sith master would still be able to slice through Beskar Armor (We saw Obi-Wan and Darth Maul do it in the Clone Wars when pitted against Deathwatch). Gideon isn't force sensitive in the first place, and thus can't augment his strength with the force to better wield the Dark Saber. Had Luke come to take Grogu by any means, no one could have stopped him. Beskar armor or not.

Blasters do have moving parts and can still jam up, just like a normal weapon would jam...just not ammo jamming. They also use power cells that can run out of energy, they can not keep heating gas up forever.

On the concept that the Dark Troopers were made of Beskar, I believe that they were made from a Beskar alloy. Since Beskar is in limited quantity it would best work for the Empire/First Order to spread it out as much as possible. Only 'pure' Beskar is able to deflect a Lightsaber. Also I believed the reason Din took a chance on believing Moff Gideon in Grogu's cell is because he did not want to start a battle whereas Grogu could be killed as collateral. So when Gideon attacked, Din just blocked until he could back out of the cell and into the hallway where he could properly use the Beskar spear. Gideon did not lose on purpose to Gin because that would mean he took a chance that Gin would not kill him immediately. That would be a idiotic tactic and his surprise at being spared confirms it. [Rebels' Spoiler] My opinion why Bo-Katan can not accept the Dark Saber from Din is BECAUSE she took it from Sabine without a battle. In episode 4x2 of Rebels I counted 5 clans supporting Bo-Katan so if there are only 5 clans on the whole planet then my theory should change. But if there are more than 5 clans on Mandalore then I believe the rest of the Mandalorian clans probably heard what happened and decided not to follow her. This probably caused the clans not to unify when the Empire came to wipe out the planet. I believe Bo-Katan does not want a repeat of that happening again. If Bo-Katan defeats Gin without killing him then rumors could fly that Gin threw the fight and shes back in the same position. [Side Note] Actually I think Grogu subconsciously remembers R2-D2 from Coruscant and that is why he wanted the shiny round handle control knob. I don't get why a lot of people are sure Grogu is going to die if he trains with Luke. The Mandalorian timeline is 5 years after the movie 'The Return of the Jedi'. So depending how long after the movie Ben Solo was born there is at least 10 years and hopefully 15 years between Grogu joining Luke and Ben going dark. A lot can happen to Grogu in that time span.

Youre theory on the Rebels/Bo-Katan situation is pretty close to my own. I definitely think her taking the darksaber from Sabine the first is the reason why she WON'T take it now. Something happened in-between that we haven't seen. Cuz how did Gideon even get it in the first place right? at this point, there is no doubt about it, mando considers Grogu his son, and him consider mando as his dad. they get this, the first time you see your child.... you know.... that you already decided to give everything for him/her.... you are ready for it. manod had to build a conection like al fathers have to their child, is diferent than mother and child, they have a conection because they share the same body for a time, fathers have to build this, and when its done, is as strong as a mothers one..... i loved this dinamic, i hope we see more of mando and grogu

how i understood, Lightsaber's can't cut thru pure Beskar, but it can cut thru Beskar alloy with low amount of Beskar, wich does make the armor blaster proof, but its to diluted to protect against a Lightsaber....

Interesting how nobody reacts when Bo-Katan is shot down (dead?) but when Grogu is in danger, everyone scream. Grogu is then safe and everyone forgets that Bo-Katan is in fact shot down because Luke catches interest once more.

So Brad_OchoCinco is actually my PS4 gamer tag. I chose it because one of my favorite football players growing up was Chad Johnson, Wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, who had his name legally changed to Chad Ochocinco because his jersey number was 85. When I made the channel it was initially supposed to be a video game channel, hence why my gamer tag is the name of the channel. Kinda confusing I know lol
