The mandos could even have used their jet packs to board the Pirate Corsair after it opened its fighter bay. Mandos are shown to be capable Boarding Parties. A little bit of shipboard pew pews, and the Mandos could have had themselves a shiny new ship.

The one complaint that Pedro Pascal had about the show was never being able to remove his helmet. Actors hate when they don’t get face recognition. It hurts their presence when their face isn’t seen much. They allowed him to remove his helmet twice. Once to have the computer scan his face to gain access, which made no sense why an imperial computer would have Mando’s face logged as a password??? He removed it again to see Grogu with his own eyes and show his face to baby yoga (Grogu). Now, all of a sudden, Bo Katan can remove her helmet indefinitely. This is giving the actress Katee Sackhoff indefinite face exposure, while Pascal has to keep his face hidden, That has to be proof of Kathleen Kennedy coming in and taking over for John Faverau’s place as creative director. It would appear that Kennedy is taking a shot straight at Pedro. He has complained openly in the press that he wishes to leave the Mandalorian in favor of a job where he can show his face once in a while, but instead of writing the show for Din Djarin to remove his helmet, that honor is given to Bo Katan. If that is not a direct insult to Pedro, I don’t know what is? There is no way Pedro Pascal will come back for another season, if he has any pride. It’s probably a good gig for him though. He gets paid an actor’s salary for being a glorified voice over artist, as if he was voicing cartoons, so I can see why he many continue to cash that fat check. Except giving ANY Mandalorian the ability to remove their helmet to any Mandolorian other than Din Djarin is an obvious strike against him. Kathleen Kennedy fixing him for daring to say that he wanted to remove the helmet more, so he can show us his acting chops, which require their face be on screen for expressions to be seen. Usurping the main character that is male is right at the top of Kathleen’s playbook. It would have given her no rush to give that honor to anyone except a female. She has a higher position now, therefor she can remove her helmet as she likes.

Let's not forget that our new "hero" and main character - Bo Kataan - was previously a member of an extremist terrorist organization that sold Ashoka into sex slavery in the Clone Wars and Assisted Darth Maul... all of which has been completely forgotten by the same man that created that lore

True. Bo Kataan was an extremists and a terrorist. The only thing that changed was that she was Xenophic, she didn't want to see Darth Maul rule Mandalore, so she split Death Watch in half. Those who supported Maul, and those who didn't. It's definitely important not to forget the sex slaves of Death Watch, and the massacres they commited.

the whole helmet thing is dumb has hell. I think it's so they can lock anyone down on low wage, and if you don't like it, cheaper stunt doubles and a 'damaged voice actuator" blah blah, cheap replacements. I personally love bo katan, i disagree that she's a 'girl boss' to be that, i think she has 30 or what ever years experience on most Mandalorins before they were born. I try to enjoy this, but its hard to push away crap to enjoy tiny fragments of universal lore. I miss the days of good writers...

It's not hard to figure out why Bo Katan's allowed to remove her helmet now for some reason - the writers changed their minds and now want Katie Sackhoff to be able to show her face onscreen. Maybe Katie or her agent protested her not being able to show her face onscreen, maybe the show promoters are thinking her star power from BSG will bring fans over, who knows. But the point is the decision was made and they were going to make it happen even if it made absolutely no sense. This is just the epitome of lazy writing/lazy rewrites and final edits. They just made a massive deal about her not taking her helmet off what, two episodes ago?? And now a sudden massive reversal? Why not just have the Armorer do this from the beginning? Or come up some rarely-invoked, little known exception to the "helmets always on" rule? The show had a place they wanted to get, and instead of caring about how they got there via canon, worldbuilding, or demonstrating any consistency whatsoever, they just brute forced it and slapped a half-assed lampshade on it. t's like the whole dynamic in Pitch Meetings. just like, "Yeah, sure, do whatever you want even if it makes absolutely no sense, I really don't care." I The boss just pretty much goes along with whatever because money.

I was wondering, since the bad batch season 2 finish recently, would you willing to do a review of that show? The second season was certainly better than this in a ton of ways. The bad batch shows the transitional phase from the republic to the empire and what happens to the clones who are being replaced by storm troopers. The show deals with plenty of mature themes and I certainly wouldn’t call it a kids show after this season. If you do choose to watch the second season, episode 3 is probably the best one.

Not really, no. Bad batch is the same in quality, if not worse than the sequels. Almost all of its episodes are filler. There is no overarching plot, and nearly all characters are 1 dimensional with very little character development. and I don’t see how they explored mature themes in any meaningful way. That's not to mention the lack of tension in fight scenes due to imperial incompetence and lazy writing. In the final episode, why would the bad batch return to Cid when they already know she is untrustworthy? Also, the way clones were removed makes no sense.

idk bro. im enjoying the season and part of the tension all along seems to be the question of which characters qualify as deserving the status of being a mandalorian. grogu now being a foundling and it appearing that the armorer may have betrayed the others is all apart of the tension. who cares whether we know the name of everyone? we know who they are. carping on the travel time in kenobi makes sense. but here? idk bro....after all the crappy movies, this show still stands up pretty well...

The helmet thingy is even disgusting... But in clone wars animation, they were removing their helmets anyhow... Instead of them to say they should never remove their helmet in battle or official duties, never remove your helmet until you're done with your mission... That way you can't eat until you're done with the mission which would make them fast and effective mercenaries because they would want to remove their helmets as fast as possible and then the faith part would be on full display as true believers don't remove their helmets despite no one being around them... Right now, it just looks like a punishment for meeting another mandalorian and would only be enforceable in the presence of another mandalorian because you don't expect a person to keep wearing their helmets forever especially in hot climates like deserts, does the helmet come with it's own cooling system or are they sweating an ocean in there??? Never removing your helmet just reduces the stakes and the usage of that gimmick because it's ridiculous and extremely disgusting and very unrelatable... You don't make characters relatable, you make their situations relatable to get the audience immersed with the stakes... Can you imagine yourself never taking off your helmet with just getting tired of the entire gimmick??? If it's for a limited time like missions, you can feel sorry for Mando as he's suffering because he didn't finish a mission fast enough because you know the torture could end after the mission but if you make the helmets thing a forever thing, it just becomes irritating and you can't use as a form of character conflict because the audience would never side with the face covering forever or wish him to just persevere for a few more moments to end the torment because the torment is neverending and the audience would already be shouting take that disgusting thing off your face already... This is what gimmick writers do, they lack moderation and just take things to eleven and make their entire premise to damned ridiculous to immerse the audience in...

Because previous vislers, you know, the true rulers of mandalore warriors, yeah, they didn't do that at all... They just turned this helmet stuff into a pointless gimmick... It's too impractical to go along with... It doesn't seem like a doctrine that a group of people especially warriors would agree to even in penance, the hands of the writers are too obvious in this rule... These people don't know what religion entails... A cult is just an extreme religion... They didn't even take advantage of the downside of wearing a helmet as they were always clean and comfy under the helmet... There's literally no reason to remove your helmet according to the show... The heat of deserts don't affect them (by the way, I stay at the edge of the Sahara, they shouldn't be going to tattoine if they don't want to become an apostate because they would die wearing that helmet in a desert, they would asphyxiate themselves and die, this isn't a surgery mask, it's a freaking helmet on a desert planet with less than 1% of water, they would die after like 10mins top)... And that's what they should be taking advantage of... That should be what is testing their faith... Rather then removing their helmet for literally no reason... The heat doesn't affect them, they show no discomfort, they just seem like as soon as they're offscreen, they take it off immediately... So what's the point of it except to be a gimmick... Nothing is testing their faith... If removing it doesn't bring apostasy, then it doesn't matter, but for removing it to be that serious, there should be many things testing their faith... Like seriously, why does Botox Karen even bother removing her helmet??? She can see through the damn thing and they don't feel any discomfort or disgust... But they can't add those effects in because then their show would be on a repetitive pause because of the stupid rule that they have to wear it at all times and there's no historical reason to it like they have to be ready to fight for mandalore again so they can't take off their helmets until they reclaim their planet back... It seems less like a cult and more like a punishment... It doesn't bring any pride to them either... That's because Hollywood can't religion well, they think religions are just a set of rules... Imagine christians being told to always be in prayer everyday 24/7 otherwise they would be casted out as christians... Them putting their helmet on everyday doesn't give them pride because they do it all the time so people would just see it as an unnecessary punishment unlike when you have selected time to put it on... Like a gang, they wear pieces of their colors if not at all on normal days but when it's time for game (basically gang fight) they deck themselves in as much of their colors as possible and there's pride to it, the color stands for something because when that something isn't happening, you don't see the color... If you've read wheel of time, you would understand... The forever helmet just breaks immersion and makes it so clear that writers are behind this rule rather than it being a natural doctrine from this warrior cult... It doesn't seem like something a group of people, especially warriors would agree to even if they're doing penance... Hollywood writers are just talentless lazy hacks that don't know anything about the world and how people function...

Ryan Pineau I find it funny when glaring issues in plot and character portrayal are just brushed off as nitpicks. As for the women thing I have not seen a single complaint that its about women, its all about hijacking a show and the same people complained when it was boba's show that was hijacked by din (a man). Defaulting to it being about the gender is an npc take.

the x-wing pilot is probably one of the few good actors on the show, he is a Canadian actor and comedian, he got the woke people mad at him for having his character having a accent that people have when they have english as a second language
