Ok so The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 7 is now out and throughout this video we're gonna be recapping the plot, breaking down all the easter eggs and also going over the characters that we get teases to in this entry. Somehow Heavy Spoilers has returned and with this episode clearly also setting up things coming in Ahsoka there's a lot to talk about. Anuyway last week saw the who we time travelled with in the mans delorean getting taken down by Bo and The Mandalorian.

This was in an effort to get back to Bo's old crew which is where she had an axe to grind over no longer being the leader. Defeating woves she then presented with the Darksaber due to her technically winning it in combat all the way back in episode 2.
That takes us into this entry which sees the return of Moff Gideon and also the introduction of The Shadow Council.
Gideon ends up getting his own Mandalorian armour in this entry and you might remember that back in our episode 5 breakdown that we talked about a big clue towards this.

I think in the finale, Gideon will escape the New Republic and the Mandalorians. He will retreat to another Imperial outpost, but to his dismay Thrawn is at this very outpost. And will task the Imperials to execute Gideon for 'treason.'

I love the bit where while the monster's about to smash the ship, Paz and Axe carry Grogu to safety. it's a small moment but it's super wholesome. like they recognize him as a Mandalorian foundling. I think I can explain the comms issue: i think the empire is actively jamming the entire planet to disguise the base they hid there. I think once they destroy the imperial base, it'll allow communications to be sent again.

That's actually a very good theory. If Gideon was on the planet this entire time then making people think the planet was poisoned or "cursed" makes perfect sense. Radio signals not being able to get out enforces the idea that the planet is dead and no one survived.

Phenomenal episode! That cruiser with the mythosaur skull painted on it was so badass! The development of bo's story ,and the night of a thousand tears was awesome! There was no better way for Paz to go out! Shooting with the glowing red barrels was great, and then owning the jet troopers! Din shall avenge them!

Hope the armourer isn't the spy. It would make sense the fact she made bo katan go and bring them all together but she's been portrayed this season as wanting what's best for the people, taking care of the sick isn't a stretch. Gideon also didn't want the factions uniting which was the armourers idea. Her returning to space may be an excuse to have a someone to command the mandalorians in the coming space battle.

I’ve watched it twice now and it makes me think: Why is the Armorer the face of the episode? Some people will say that is it because she is the spy but, that’s too simple and obvious. What if, she saw something and used the excuse to take the sick/weak mandos back to the ship so she could alert the fleet? What if our spy is Axes Wolves? And that’s why he wanted to get out of there as soon as the fight started? I don’t have a good feeling when it comes to Axe, he seems to go with who pays the most and I bet Gideon probably bought him. He is also probably sour about Bo taking the Night Owls back. Maybe the Armorer is the one that will save the day, because she saw something no one did and was able to alert the others.

I knew they just gave us a fun episode last week cos they knew things would get hardcore in the last two episodes cos in previous seasons the last episodes took Kuill and IG11 from us in season 1 and Grogu got captured at the end of season 2. All the people who wanted more drama and violence last week got it. Similarly in the Bad Batch all the so-called filler episodes were actually perfect plot driven episodes to make us like and know Tech alot more before the finale so his death hit harder. We need more patience to see the context of a plot before judging a whole series.

Instead of enjoying what they got which was character growth in Bo and the politics of the New Republic which would eventually lead to an exciting showdown with Gideon. People were just impatient for a fight that wasn't coming and the fight that's best saved for the finale.

Great episode. Even though plot leaked and cold open was available before the episode, it was solid. Really ties all the plots from this season together and pushes onward to the finale. I'm hoping the Armorer isn't working with Gideon but matching spiked helmets isn't helping her look good. Hopefully she went back to actually help vs leaving before bad stuff went down. Looking forward to big space battle next episode. 9/10 episode for me.

Also, they focused a LOT on her when she was flying the Gauntlet back to orbit. I was expecting there to be a bunch of imperial shops above the atmosphere that had already taken out the fleet, and then she’d have to jump to hyperspace. But that didn’t happen, so they just have focused on her for another reason

If she is working with Gideon then I think she had Bo take her helmet off to verify that she was who she says. And then hype up Bo by saying she can unite everyone. But Gideon did appear like he didn't want the Mandalorians to unite so idk. Unless he's not telling Elia everything and putting on an act for some reason.

I'm worried that the armorer is not on the level. She volunteers to leave with the injured and sick before the rest walk right into a trap? The editing between her flying back to the fleet and the others exploring below the surface before being attacked gave me a strange impression that she knew something. It might be why Paz felt the unyielding desire to sacrifice himself like that...

She also instantly knew who Bo was. She knew exact details of Bo and the Dark Saber. She was the one who suggested Bo reunite the clans. And then, while supposedly searching for the forge, the Armorer volunteers to fly back to the fleet... She singlehandedly handed the Mandalorians to Gideon. She is totally the spy in the Mandalorian side of the spies. Not sure who the spy is on the Empire side yet.

completely agree. The editing in that scene seemed strange as if it were building up suspense towards something while focusing on her flying away. One take is that she sold them out but may warn them when she's back with the fleet just because she has spent so long with them and is likely conflicted on the inside.

The Mando story is that he tamed the mythosaur. They gave Grogu more agency with the IS as mech scheme. He has a force talent for bonding with animals that we are reminded of every few episodes. Grogu is Mandalorian.

1. the Com issue might simply be jamming by the imperial remnants and not the storm, letting Gideon work through it, or they have simply been there long enough to make a work around. 2. Don't forget that Dins droid is a republic spy, it wouldn't surprise me if it somehow send off a signal that the Mandalorians were going to Mandalore. Also, Grogu in the mech suit, jupp that's a young kid with a new toy. Hilarious

An amazing episode, everything from the gritty cinematography, Grogu continually pressing "yes" in his IG12 armour, the Mandolorian clans uniting, Vizlers honourable, emotional "This is the way" line. This has got to be the best so far and a quick theory, I think the Armourer is in league with Moff Gideon and that will be the gut punch in final episode.

Moff Gideons helmet has a similarity with the Armourer (Darth Maul's inspired) so it makes me think if she was the spy who told Gideon the Mandalorians were on their way to claim their planet... The scenes with her flying back to the ship made me think of this...

most likely the helmet is a imitation of the last Non-mandalorian leader that took over Mandalore (Maul) as to foreshadow what his rule would resemble to those that watched Clone Wars. The Armorer most likely used to be a Maul supported until the Purge of a Thousand Tears, to where her motivation shifted from radical support of Maul to the radical support of the Way

Based off how previous seasons ended, I’m sure everything will be neatly tied up with the opportunity open for Thrawn to make some headway as the main focus of this show and Ahsoka (of course). Gideon might make his exit for good next episode at the hands of Bo and I’m guessing we’ll get some more insight into The Armorer and what’s up with her. That character has gone from being the “wise one” to “watch your f’in back, she’ll likely shiv ya!”

Ok, so i know there has been a lot of these theories about the armorer being an imperial but i think the other spy they were referring to was Axe Woves, so first off we see the armorer make contact with the fleet, and that ship was their only transport. Then later in the episode he says "I can make a run for the fleet" when they were all pinned down, how is supposed to communicate with the fleet if he doesn't have a ship? And we all know that coms are down in the surface of the planet. So i think... He's working with Gideon to take revenge or betray bo for what happened to the planet under her rule, he even says "I was there when it happened" when they were talking about the planets bombing

@@janedoe327 I don't think it was him though, he could have easily turned the hostage recovery in episode 6 into a bloodbath but he chose the most peaceful solution, when he talked about being on Mandalore during the purge I thought it shook him up a lot and on the barge, he didn't even hesitate second saving Grogu... Armorer is also by a debatable character for me... she is surrounded by mystery and some kind of magic... she is always where she should be and knows what to do... I think she is portrayed in such a way to show some doubts, and Dave and Jon from a completely unexpected side will show us the traitor. We'll see in a week. And I believe that Paz Vizla is alive but very badly injured..and I will stick to this version until his armor is handed over to his son.

@@moodybop3159 I agree with you that he is most likely dead. I have no problem with you, it was an epic fight and an honorable end....there's nothing more a warrior can dream of. However, I will defend the position that his injuries are critical, not necessarily lethal right away. Modern medicine would be able to save him, let alone space medical gel (Bcata) or their other technologies. We'll see in the new episode.

I think Gideon should've just been killed off by the end of season 1, but then again, I also didn't find him a very captivating villain and found the actor's performance pretty heavy-handed and cartoony.

Yeah I don’t know the rumors but I find it hard to believe Pedro wouldn’t keep doing it tho he is busy of late….he won’t be doing the Last of Us very long if they stick to that story. BUT he is just the voice unless he chooses to remove his helmet and the voice can be impersonated so I don’t see why they would kill off Din. He’s such a great character.
