So I think I have this right in time placement wise. This is either right after Adam and the wife incident or a few months or weeks after. Jude (Adam’s father) was put in witness protection after his wife was murder and his kid taken (since probably people thought he was behind it). He had a friend who’d take him out of state but I believe his own anxiety got in the way hence the anxiety commercials and pills. The cartoon of the Shepard represents not only what happened after to the shepherd earlier in the Gabriel video scenes we’ve seen before, but it also represents Jude currently. Jude is the shepherd that the alternates manipulated, Adam is the lamb that was killed and replaced, and the farmer is Lynn who asked him to come back for her and Adam that same day she was killed. The alternate we see now is N who can apparently taken on a variety of different forms and possible also impersonated the officer Davis we saw in this vid since he seemed a tad off. If I missed anything feel free to correct me

Artistically disturbing. It is extremely gratifying to see a production at this level in analog horror media. It is an extremely deep psychological horror story that does not use futile and artificial tricks to create an essenceless terror. Here, the terror is built in stages, it is slow and delightful to follow where, in its climax moments, it leaves you euphoric and completely terrified. This is a totally believable story, that's what makes it even more terrifying, frustration, depression, loneliness, longing, mystery, are some of the nuances I can glean from what I saw. And yes... That's how real horror is made. I really hope that the next volumes don't tend to reproduce what was done here, as it is unique and different from the others. It is truly a polished jewel, Alex Kister's greatest production and also the best work in technical and substantial aspects in an Analog Horror medium.

What I noticed: This may be a stretch but, 5:12 see no evil 5:19 speak no evil 5:26 this being does seem to have ears, but maybe that’s because a thing with the alternates is that they whisper shit you don’t want to hear to drive you M.A.D I’ve seen a lot of people saying this ( 31:32 ) it’s not actually Mark. We have seen this guy before. We see that face when the different types of Alternates is shown, on one side, we have a normal looking dude (who, in THIS shot, does look like Mark but isn’t) and then it shows the tall man standing in the corner of the room who looks like a shadow but with eyes. This alternate has previously been referred to as“N”, who we’ve seen heaps before (THINK principle, Vol 1 (original and restored) and when we were shown the varying levels of alternate assimilation, N being flawed assimilation.

9:27 - 10:37 This volume is not supposed to contain mark but I have a theory. Mark has commonly thought to have fallen under M.A.D. We can see that the medicine is advertised r9 those with M.A.D. Even though it shows to not work well with Jude at the end. Alex is playing the dude in the commercial here, but wears clothes like the one mark wore in his passing and is crying in the corner of the bedroom which he did cry according to the police website. I believe with all of this the narrators choose the incident with Mark Heathcliff to inspire the character for the commercial.

I love the way the final chase scene is done, the way the music changes to this distorted piano sound. It makes it feel like reality is warping around the alternate and really sells that alternates are creatures from another realm. Extremely well done

And will return to betray Thatcher, (who also conveniently shares a voice actor with the Shepherd.) my friend helped me strengthen this theory that the Shepherd is meant to be thatcher. When he was in a house. And alternate killed the farmer, and the shepherd’s first reaction is to escape through a window. Before finding a distorted version of the lamb on the other side. Before being assumedly killed by Gabriel. The lamb, being Ruth. I’m also a little bit confused about why “Thatcher” was at Jude’s house. Oh and that is DEFINITELY not thatcher. No way in a million years. So why send Alt Thatcher of all people? This is a huge long shot so I don’t expect this to be true, but you guys see my vision, right?

The death of jude is kinda, confusing yet terrifying. From what i understand other alternates give rather gruesome deaths, but this alternate, which looks like the invader from the television (after disfiguring his face to look the part, which isn't normal for alternates to go through 3 forms), gave him a mental death. What i mean is he forced jude to bielieve he was being choked to death despite the fact he merely looked at him and made sound.
