I’ve watched many different pen show videos and this show had the most articulate, upbeat, friendly and happy people ever! It must have been a great blessing to be there. Thank you for sharing this video.

Watching this back in 2021. What a show! Vendors seemed really cool and it's great to see that pen related businesses in Asia were very much alive and well. I hope that they will make a comeback in 2022.

Now that's a pen show I'd love to go to. I'm pleased to have both Vinta and TMKR inks but I couldn't get over how young the TMKR guys are and they seemed so sweet too. I so want that wonderful ink journal you showed but naturally not available for me to get hold of. If I had the jet set life I'd basically just visit all the pen shows around the world.

I would too! I'm just lucky that right now in my life, we are living in Tokyo so that I can go to some of these pen show (after the pandemic is over, I would like to go again!)

Glad you enjoyed the variable stub, and the wing sung! Sorry I was so swamped with work that I couldn't spare any time for an interview or whatnot... I definitely have a few new grind ideas in my head, and will very likely have a much nicer setup for a bigger pen show next year!

One of your videos recently popped up on my home page and I quickly subscribed. I'm a pretty big stationary and art supply geek, and love that your videos are both informative and beautiful to watch. Seeing the growing fountain pen community, and industry, in the Philippines makes me proud and happy. Hoping to make it out to a future pen show.

@InkyRocks2 жыл бұрын
It’s a wonderful and fun show but I don’t know if it will be held this year. This one was the second one, I believe and then the pandemic hit. So things are still in flux. This show was held at a Holiday Inn at Manila. I’m not sure if that would be the venue for the next one-which I’m definitely going to!
@DocRen3 жыл бұрын
What an honor it must be to have an international guest like you to have flown in just to attend this event. :) Seems like the participants had a lot of fun especially with the sold out inks and pens! 9:58 I laughed way too hard at this part "Roll, pen! Roll!" XD And OMG you put it in the wash! I can't even- XDD DANG. As a casual viewer, I've never heard of this event even though I live here in the Philippines. ^__^ I literally didn't even know that such beautiful pens and inks were being made in the Philippines. :D Thank you for introducing me to this event. Definitely sharing it with my friends ^__^v

I think this was the first one and then last year's got canceled because of the pandemic. It's a fantastic show to go to even if you don't do fountain pens because of all the other stationery. I love the Philippines anyways and the show was icing on the cake. Thank you so much! 💕

@@stampinsan I don't know when the Manila show will be on this year. I think they want to deconflict with the Tokyo show as that has moved. It is from the company Musubi. I believe it is his Spica Bond paper journal and may be sold out. You will need to check his site. The link is in the description box.

There are many great aspects to your videos but the way inks are thrown around and wasted always puts me off I mean like Anderson pens also write with drops on paper but that is somehow a piece of art for it truly allows you to see the ink shades but we never through the ink everywhere so the honest colour will be actually showing writing samples ...but I am sure many would like what you do so I will leave it for them to like

I guess art is in the eye of the beholder...
@fizixguru1014 жыл бұрын
Honoured to receive a response from you Surely it is in the eye of the beholder...wonder where is the thin line between art and vandalism? Where some may like graffiti and others consider it unsightly yet even in graffiti some are crude and some refined... and there aspects where you imbue your videos with some really creative ideas ...its a free world and everyone should have the freedom of expression
@InkyRocks4 жыл бұрын
@@fizixguru101 I agree. But in no way is my work vandalism--I don't destroy other people's property. And you are uninformed about how much ink I use. I've used my Mont Blanc Royal Blue in 4 videos and still have over half a bottle. I would venture to say, most people will never use all the in they own in their lifetime--I actually use mine, enjoy it, and don't hoard it. No one complains about the buckets of ink Jason Pollock uses.
