Great review. I just purchased the Air Force version of this watch from the Marathon website. They had it on sale for 50% off. I spent 6 years in the Air Force and actually went to basic training in August 1986. The year the Air Force commissioned Marathon to make the original version of the watch. I thought that was really cool.

I just purchased the AF version in 41mm & the Ofc. Quartz during their 50% off sale. I joined in 1990. I was @ Lackland and Brooks AFB in SA right down the road from Kelly AFB

Seriously thinking of picking one of these up next year. I love the combination of arabic numerals on the dial and a 12 hour bi-directional bezel, makes it so easy to read a second time zone. Great review!

I just saw an arctic white version with sterile dial on Watchmann’s site. No date or logo looks fantastic. Definitely getting that one. $693

Just broke down and bought this watch after 6 months of consideration. I love it. I also opted to change out the black nylon strap, but went with Marathon's black leather strap. It looks gorgeous.

Great video. Great watch. I have mine on a Bonetto Cinturini rubber ladder strap. It pairs well with the 70s asymmetrical Benrus case and Florida heat. That Artem strap looks amazing tho 😮

the marathon nylon strap is made to be cut off with a scissor and burnt off with a red hot rod to maintain the straightness of the cut, if you see how ive done mine like that you would think that it came cut from the factory like that. i have mine so that t it goes under the metal thing while only exceeding it by 1mm and because of of it being very snug it holds there and never slips out

❤ nice review, just picked up the nylon version of this watch and like it so much that I will get the SS version. If you want a strap every bit as good as the Artem the Dassari strap from StrapsCo is 1/3 the price and is the same quality and looks, I own both and will never by another Artem.

Fantastic way to break in your watch on a Costa Rican adventure. Long Island sells it on ballistic nylon or defstan nylon. Any idea which one came with your watch. Also I didn't know the movement was that special I just moved this watch up the list. 😀

This was the defstan nylon I believe although I've been wearing on lot's of other straps since. It's been my most worn watch since I got it. Thanks 😁👍

When it comes to tritium, I tried out a few Luminox, but not a Marathon. I should try it out and this one seems like it could be my choice from the bunch. 👏

I think the only tritium watches I've ever owned were from Marathon. I also had one of the resin Navigators too. They definitely make a great watch. Thanks Tom!

Not sure but I believe it should be able to be replaced. It is a screw down crown.

Hi Kevin. Looks like you had fun! I like it, but prices are getting out of control. A few years ago I brought the Marathon TASR 41mm for less than half the price it is now! I sold it as it was too heavy and too bulky. I agree bezel should be more resonate and much stiffer (I want to use for intersate timzones for work). I also would personally have preferred a lug to lug of 47mm and a screwback case - improves life of the case (less steel wear). Do you know if the crown TUBE is replaceable on the Navigator please and does it screw into the case or is it pressed in? Thanks.

Nice video. Did you measure the lug opening? Someone said on another video that he measured the opening at 19.5mm, not 20mm. Can you verify? Thanks.

I'm not home where I have my calipers but I've been wearing mostly on a couple 20mm quick release straps since I've had it and they fit great.

all marathon watches have AR on there saphire glass. it is actually super obvious at first glance
