This is amazing, thank you!!! ok so the song transpires from normality to the outer limits and back. I thought I would not be amazed by another Queen song. Here are just a few time references, so as much as I tried to critique it, @2:37 they got me hooked then I lose my senses at @8:54
I tried not to get too carried away with the video, but really wanted to feel the instruments and let the song carry me, where the artists intended their listeners to be, ANOTHER PLACE!!!! This really reminded me of how much I love music. I was very happy to have shared this experience with you. I share my thoughts live, direct with you and you really do catch the real emotions!

Do you realize that this song was pre-Bohemian Rhapsody? After this, you can understand why the band didn't hesitate to follow Freddie's dream of Bohemian Rhapsody. They trusted that what he heard in his head would be brilliant when they mixed all the parts together.

Loved your Reaction. This is the Big Sister of _Bohemian Rhapsody._ I don't know anyone that can be like Queen. It is like Queen has their own genre called Queen. But I do think Queen is number 1 and Michael Jackson number 2. I mean what about Earth Song by Michael Jackson. It is one of the only songs in the World that give me Goosebumps. So March Of The Black Queen ended so suddenly because it transitions to the next song from the album the song is called Funny How Love is. Their Queen II album is FULL of smooth Transitions, the Official Queen Channel Failed to bring that over, but there are still fans putting them together to hear the transitions again. I found out that if you listen to Queens album in Spotify the transitions are even greater. If you didn't hear Roger Taylor's (drummer) normal singing Voice yet (what I believe). He had a Line in this song, I don't know if you noticed, but here you can hear Roger singing 9:47 He has that Raspy Rock Voice but also that Angelic high voice. This song was so much filled by High notes from Roger Taylor and this is even one of the only times Freddie joined Roger on the high notes in the Background. March of the Black Queen has SO MANY layers and stuff, The tape went transparent. It was that full of Vocals and everything. But that's also the Reason they could never perform march of the black queen live. They only performed snippets but Not the whole song, it had too Many overdubs and layers. Just like in Bohemian Rhapsody the Opera part. They always used the studio version on the opera part because they couldn't recreate something like that Live. Freddie is not only a great vocalist and performer but an fantastic and REALLY underrated Pianist. I mean this whole song was full of randomness in the Piano and it sounded so amazing. Freddie learned playing the Piano with 7 and he took lessons for the Piano, but he learned Singing by himself. Freddie was so damn good at Playing Piano but he himself said that he didn't think that he was that good. That is flippin weird but I guess it's because he is a perfectionist and he thinks that he could get better but HE ALREADY IS ON THE 100%. I wonder what in Freddie's eyes were good Pianists, If he wasn't good what am I then 😂 (I play Piano too but of course not as good as Freddie, so when he says he isn't that great what am I then😂). I RARELY heard Freddie miss any key or miss click on the piano. He had a good grip. Basically nobody plays like him. He plays like you shouldn't do actually. As a pianist you have to keep your hands up but Freddie for example lays his hands down, Plays dramatic, raises his hands too much. So that's what makes him more special on piano. He ignored the first rules and that makes him greater 😂. I will request something completely different but I hope you'll get to it someday. It is: *_Queen - Ogre Battle / The Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke / Nevermore (2011 Remaster + Lyrics)._* Those are 3 Songs in the Queen II album (same album as March Of The Black Queen) but these songs are in such a perfect transition and you could instantly chop those 3 songs off of your list instead of doing them separately. And you will also get to hear those AWESOME Transitions that they did. I would say you can pause the Video sometimes but please do not Pause when it has a transition to the next song (you will probably notice when the next song appears) Those 3 songs are really great. But still in the end you can review them separately. The only thing that would be weird is HEARING them separately because you heard what happened in march of the black queen it just cut out and it doesn't sound satisfying anymore (at least to me) I only got to say something to _The Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke_ That is the second song of those 3. You have to have a little knowledge on that. The song basically describes a painting that Freddie loved, that painting will also show up in the Video so you maybe understand more. These 3 Songs are very different but they are connected everything is just so Good. (oh and by the way in the song The Fairy Fellers Master Stroke Freddie does describe the painting also called The Fairy Fellers Master Stroke 😂)

This is their 1st epic - 1974. And, this is STEREO, LOL. Extensively developed in 1930's for theater productions it took until the 60's for home equipment to become widely available. Thanks Deborah, I have a funny feeling you might just be right! lol. Perhaps this experience will enhance my understanding further of what is capable, and thus I will expect the music I do listen to to be of a higher standard on the channel. There can only be positive from all this. But crossing from one genre to the next, has deepened my appreciation for good music when I hear it, i.e QUEEN! For without accepting the notion of "bad" music, how can we truly appreciate greatness when we hear it? and greatness is all I have heard and seen thus far from Queen.

Thanks for dropping a comment Lolli. There are so many in my head already. LOL. My Queen reactions have been days apart. I would love to do them back to back. However I don't feel I would give them the full credit they deserve. There is always something deeper than the surface layer and I am seeking how far this band went. I am manly a hiphop/ rap fan. Though I do love some alternative music. However, Queen have demonstrated to me, the same attributes that made the hip-hop genre what it is today.... rebels. Queen were rebellious. That's my conclusion thus far. Without looking at any interviews or digging for information. That conclusion is based on the reactions that have been made thus far and also reading the comments. Amazing musicians. 🎤🎶👍🏽

@@HAP3SPEAKZ So true! Queen was insistent that they do things their way. They refused to listen to their record label, and were despised by the press!! The press hated them with such vitriol, it's impossible to describe. Queen had 4 strong songwriters, I think the only band where all 4 members wrote #1 hits. It's one of the reasons their music was so diverse. They listened to no one but themselves! They couldn't be put into a box or category because everything they did was new and different. True rebels, but they also had a great sense of humor about it!! Great reactions from you, thank you. And thanks for you honesty about not being a Queen fan!!

If you haven't reacted to Ogre Battle yet I recommend that. Awesome reaction tyvm💖💕👑I'm so glad you appreciate what a great band Queen is💖👑There will never be another band like Queen ever again. I love how you really listen so intently, to each and every song, you react to💖👑💖You don't miss a thing lol😂Another brilliant Freddie Masterpiece❤❤ The harmonies, the piano, the guitar, with multiple transitions and multiple layerings. Amazing song with so many things going on all at once (even cathedral bells). I truly feel March Of The Black Queen is Freddie's 1st masterpiece, with Bohemian Rhapsody following 1 year later. Please react to Queen Live at Rainbow 1974: #Ogre Battle #Keep Yourself Alive #Seven Seas Of Rhye #Liar #Stone Cold Crazy This Rainbow concert truly marks the beginning of the Queen journey👑💖🔥👑💖 Queen Legendary Greatness Freddie Mercury Rock God ❤👑❤👑❤👑❤👑❤👑❤👑

Thanks Jean for the comment and thanks for the compliment. You really need to listen... no point just catching the vibes and leaving it at that. Queen deserve a lot more credit. We lost a great singer. I guess you heard every word I said in my video. The songs you mentioned have been suggested before and they are on the list. 👑🎶🎤🥁🎸

As a rap/hip hop guy you would really appreciate "Death on Two Legs" - from the Night at the Opera album 1974/5 [depends which country you were in :) ] the first diss song that I know of about their manager who paid them so little and wouldn't even replace drumsticks but drove around in a Rolls from their efforts [they dumped him and paid him off after a lawsuit for breach of contract - they never named him but he outed himself ]

Oh here we go! I do love a little diss track here and there! Hehe. Thanks for the comment. I have noted it down. Sucks that their manager was that greedy. His loss. He could have been part of musical history and be able to keep his honor.

Flick of the wrist was Freddie's first diss song. From the Sheer Heart Attack album, a little more subtle but also aimed at their Trident management.

@@HAP3SPEAKZ btw, when They performed Death on two legs in concert, Freddie's used to say, this is about our old Management. The old management, Trident, sued Queen for defamation. They settled out of court and then he'd introduce the song by saying, This song is about a dirty old man. It's funny too that Queen recorded both diss songs about Trident, in Trident's recording studio🤭

I’ve only just realized something new about this song though I’ve heard it tons of times. The line ‘fi-fo the black Queen, tattoos all her pies’ is sonically a copy of the nursery rhyme Sing a Song of Sixpence, namely the line ‘Four and twenty blackbirds, baked in a pie’. Genius! So was the black Queen baking blackbirds? :( Also if you want the original ending without the faded cut then listen to the deep cuts version. I wish they would put the deep cuts version over this video, that would be perfection!
@HAP3SPEAKZ

Well this proves that even today their music is still raising debates about the lines. If it helps there was a comment that was left here explaining the actually meaning of the the song.

That’s a lovely theory with the ship, interpretations, opinions and theories vary on the lyrics, much like with Bo Rap. I’m not sure I’m as convinced by it though. Part of the fun is the mystery of course!

I love Q2 - I got into it after NOTW and struggled with it at first, but when I really GOT it, played nothing else for nearly 2 years. So much to hear, new things every time; angry, delicate, beautiful harmonies and screaming guitar. Freddie's vocals ranging from sweet and syrupy to strong and rasping. A masterpiece!

This was their "Bohemian Rhapsody", before it came out in 1976. Off of Queen II, Side Black, 1974 I think, this is a masterpiece. No that wasn't IT!, on the album this song has about a half second delay and it goes into the next song on the album "Funny How Love Is". Try to find the two together or just listen to it on the Queen II CD. If you like the back and forth, left to right/right to left, check out "Now I'm Here"

This is Freddie’s most autobiographical song. Listen to it again and think of him in the role of black queen late at night going out to all sorts of kinky clubs and ruling over the scene. He was free to be his uninhibited self. He once brought princess Diana to a gay club. She was dressed as a man to avoid the shitstorm it would have caused. This was made before bohemian rhapsody.

Funny you mention that, I did catch some references to his sexual preferences. Didn't want to say anything during the video about that. However there are comments left here saying this was about a ship and refers to a story about that. 🎶 Though am not 100% sure.
