This is like the Kansas city version of Austin city limits. I think it's excellent and I hope it continues. is there a studio audience for these recordings? this how I discovered the Marcus King band. Thank you.
@909thebridge8 жыл бұрын
Ah this comment! Thanks so much James! The Bridge is a public radio station that is listener supported. We sometimes thank our members by letting them come into these sessions. All are shot live to radio so its not a set time. Pretty random as to when the bands can come in. bridge909.org has more information. Starting March 25th these sessions will be at 10PM on channel 19 KCPT, airing right before....Austin City Limits.

Laura Jean... I remember King Biscuit Flower Hour too. That was a great radio program wasn't it. I got turned on to so many bands from listening to that show that I might never have heard of otherwise. I grew up in southern Ontario on the North shore of Lake Erie and I believe I heard it from a Erie Pa radio station or from Q107 Toronto. Can't remember for sure. I guess my age is showing too. :)

@Laura Mounier I've seen King Biscuit CDs on Ebay. Humble Pie, Allmans, sooo many . . .

you know speaking a drummers and I was kind of shocked when I really absorb all this information and it relates to the Beatles When I found out that Ringo Starkey Ringo Starr from the Beatles did not play on 27 I think it was 27 tunes on three records coming up so that who was the drummer's name his name was god dammit or get his name but he was a studio musician from the early 60s he was called in you didn't know who the Beatles were and he was called in to fill in all the tunes that Ringo wasn't lesson plan right on and supposedly he was amazed at how I don't know all I know is that Ringo was not on a lot of the studio recordings
