Yeah. Outside of the billions of hacks, the vanilla game is in most emulators, it was ported to PC by fans, and not to mention the legitimate ways to play the game: It is in almost all Nintendo consoles after the N64, with the only exceptions as far as I'm aware being the GameCube, GBA and GBC. I first played it through OG N64 hardware, and now I'm playing through NSO + Expansion Pack

Multiplayer in 3D Mario works best if its planned well in advance. That's why it worked in Super Mario 3D World, but not so much for Super Mario 64. For context, Koichi Hayashida said that Super Mario 3D World was brainstormed even during Super Mario 3D Land's development.
