The Marmon Herrington was built by British Bridge Building company Dorman-Long on a Canadian Ford chassis, armour produced by ISCOR, Marmon Herrington only actually supplied 4x4 Drive kit. British contract MEF Marmon Herrington MkII and MkIII, both had the Boys Anti-Tank Rifle as standard, it was mounted right of the Vickers MMG. However the Marmon Herrington's built for South Africa had different turrets mounting only the Vickers MMG in the turret.

The original FOW book North Africa had the option to take the turrets off MH ACs and add one of either , a 20mm Solothurn or a 2.8cm sPzB41 anti-tank rifle or a 3.7cm PaK36 anti-tank gun .
