I think this is my new favourite drum cover in KZbin. Very impressive and your kit sounds amazing. Really nice single bass pedal control. Just amazing.

Missing about half your cymbals and drums my dude! Thomas Pridgen LOVES his GIANT toms and cymbals. I think he used 18” hi-hats. I tried it, but eventually stuck with 16” hats which have a handful of nice sounds. I would’ve added at least another floor Tom for this personally. But, with what you had I’d say you killed it my friend!

Pure, unadulterated, badass! You clearly have serious skill, technique, and experience. I could watch this all day. My only question is how the hell did you figure out all the ghost notes!?

Thanks a lot! I really appreciate it! But to answer your question: If you practice all kinds of paradiddle combinations and stuff for a while there's a point when you start to recognize these rudiments in a bunch of prog grooves. For me it's easier to guess first what the drummer (Thomas Pridgen in this case) plays and after that listen carefully for the details.

The detail and consistency is great but the dynamics are terrible dude, you're operating at about 15% range. The whole thing needs way more attack, the song is really metal. I remember Cedric describing Pridgeon's drumming sound as like someone being on pcp. So those pre-chorus and chorus snare rolls and tom fills eg. should be being smashed out. The ouroboros should be looping around in space on fire, but here you've got it on a Sunday drive taking it easy around a round-a-bout. Would love to see a re-take… Where you have your shirt off and go for it.

Expecting one musician to exactly mimic another is one of the stupidest things a supposed musician can say to another. get bent

I agree with both you and Charles. He needs to put wayyy more into it, but he's also just performing his own style all the same
@steveescher15542 жыл бұрын
@@charleslarson5983 I agree, it was not perfect but to mimic another is crazy. Either way he showed his insane ability on the drums and I can only imagine what he can do himself while listening.
