He just recently quit smoking pot. He mentioned 'sitting around all day watching TV and smoking pot if it weren't for Omar keeping [him] busy" in an interview from sometime after Bedlam came out. I don't think either of them are disapproving because Marcel, Deantoni and Juan smoke. He claims it kills the creative process, but if he honestly thinks it does he must have depended on it to be creative to some degree and wanted to stop doing so.

not what you'd expect from some of the sounds they produce, you'd think they'd be channeling a herd of beasts...but it's great to hear some of the practical measures you have to take like he stressed. 8 hours sleep, eat regularly...when accessing the genius.

eating and sleeping right is way more important than people think. try just eating arugula and hummus for three days and see what kind of art you produce. it will be a lot different than if you eat cheeseburgers and fries.
