Southern Rock was great! People nowadays don't know what they missed. LS,CDB,Wet Willy, Elvin Bishop, Point Blank, Navasota, Marshall Tucker and many more, let me appreciate being a part of the '60s and '70s.

I’m 69 and will be 70 in a couple of months. I lived in a generation of the greatest music ever. The 60 s and 70s were the most laid back years where the times were easy going and the music had a meaning and told stories. I wish I could go back.

I’m from Spartanburg born and raised papa went school with band members papa was little older than them but he was buddies with Doug and papa owned a chain clothing store called the college inn Doug and band would go in there and buy all the western clothing the clothing they’re wearing in this video more then likely my papa sold to them kinda cool when you think about it but it’s just history of little area on the east side of Spartanburg county

LOVE this band so much, , my CD player in my car is acting funky and the only CD it would play yesterday was "A New Life" which turned out to be just fine with me, , on a long road trip I believe I let go like 3 times through ~ wonderful, , I so love it and their first classic record so much!

This couldn’t have been 1975. Tommy Caldwell is not there and he didn’t pass until 1980. Otherwise another brilliant performance and solo by Toy Caldwell.
@bigclyde4u3 жыл бұрын
You are correct. Tommy passed away in April of 1980. Franklin Wilkie played bass from May of 1980 till 1984. The date is definitely incorrect. The date is in the early 80s, definitely not 1975.

Sad so sad about the brothers. And even sadder is the joke that goes by the name of the R&R HALL OF FAME has over looked Marshall Tucker Band, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, THE GUESS WHO and they have had more hits than many of the unknowns that they throw in there.

Most noticeable is how the bass player isn't close to the groove! Going back and checking out earlier versions from the mid 1970's on, shows that the WRONG Bass player makes a big difference!!

God, I love these guys and I love this song. This is one of toys greatest guitar efforts; he plays underneath the singing for the whole song. Fantastic!
