I remember playing Marshall Tucker Carolina Dreams for a friend. He liked it so much I ended up giving it to him to keep. We're were about 19 maybe 20 and the whole Southern Rock movement really connected with all of us. That music still touches my soul to this day and I know it always will. If you're from the South no explanation is necessary, if you're not no explanation will suffice.

1972- I had just got out of the US army and my wife and I moved back to Wisconsin from Germany where I was an MP. Rosie and I owned almost nothing and had zero in the bank. I started back at the Glass plant driving forklift where I had been when drafted. We had one child at the time. I worked 16 hour shifts six day a week so we could get back on our feet. One of our first major purchases was a nice stereo. The kind in a beautiful wood cabinet that you don't see anymore. I bought Together forever by the MTB soon after and to this day they might just be my favorite band of all time. We saw them live in Milwaukee years later. I think Tommy and Toy had passed. I cover " Asking too Much " on Burlington Bill here on you tube. Thanks for posting their music!

Trucker song, mention of "white loader right down to the door" White Tractor, with fully loaded trailer....this song was on my mix tape back in the 1980's and I was a truck driver, paid to travel but piloting a big rig in some places of America is heroic to say the least. I felt akin to my Uncles and Dad who where aircrew in WW2, and survived. They seldom talked about it when sober, only at family celebrations did the real stories come forth. That is my story Thanks for posting this song....much respect and RIP to the Tommy & Toy Caldwell Bros. seeing this LIVE was transcendent to say the least.....

The fellowship and brotherhood of Southern Rock in the 70’s was a family unlike any other. What a great time to be alive and appreciating so many levels of talent and musicianship. All of these boys played music because it meant something back then. It was for the joy of playing and making people happy because of it.

I'd say the difference between this and what we have today is like the difference between home cooked Sunday dinner at Grandma's house with the family all there, and a funky stinky old stale baloney sandwich out of the vending machine at the bus station. No earthly possibility of comparison.

Charlies fiddle is out of this world, he is having the time of his life up there. Tommys bass solo and Toy jumping back in with him is pure magic, and ol Jerry bringin the wind, the love and connection of two brothers who are just playing their hearts out with their thumbs. Absolutely astonishing, an outstanding performance!

@bobo420TX Toy mentioned a club in Texas in an interview. There was 2 interviews his and Tommy. Put in Toy then mccurry. He talks about the painting about the horse jumping over the moon by Federson who got murdered trying to break up a fight. It inspired the song Searching For A Rainbow and was the cover of the album. He called The Armadillo a hot little club.

I was there, one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Growing up in Murfreesboro in the 70s was the best, we had all the good music.
