@@klash3532 very true, partial issolation is extremely different from full issolation with no contact with the outside world. Although we can get a bit of a feeling of what it is like, esspecally those of us that issolated alone. I went 20 days without seeing another human. Weird stuff. Even still I agree, I still had electronic contact with others and it was not full issolation. Edit: when I say without seeing another human I mean in my apartment. I saw people moving outside, but no real contact. With food storage I didn't need to leave.

I'm watching this video for the first time in 2021, and looking at the DOBs of the crewmember, it took me a while to realise this movie was set in 2035! I mean, right now the crew would've still be in college/school, doing their masters/PhD, or deployed somewhere (cuz Martinez and Lewis was in the military), man it's crazy how time works, with millennials and Gen Zs becoming astronauts eventually! Btw, Johanssen would've been one of the youngest astronauts ever to fly, but at the time this movie was released she would've been 9/10 years old!

The scene of the Commander relating her experience on a submarine broke the spell for me. I've done hundreds of dives (and, fortunately, as many surfaces) and never experienced creaking or anything else she described. Does the hull flex and contract? Yes, but that's designed into the system. The last thing you want, in contested waters is to have a hull that's creaking and groaning. Modern submarines are the cutting edge of technology, much like what they portray in this film. One is in space, and one under the sea......................

10 Days is nothing. During the Covid-19 lockdown period I got what I have always wanted. For some time in isolation with people just leaving me alone. I can easily go for longer periods in isolation. Yes, there would come a time when it would not be pleasant anymore, if it goes on for very long, but I doubt I will be traumatised by it.
