The "tech pouch" inside the laptop compartment is such a genius idea! No more reaching to the end of the bag to get your laptop charger/dongles. All right there at the top. Hopefully more companies start implementing this and it becomes standard

Chase, thank you for making these reviews! I recently got a job that requires air travel once a week, so I decided to buy my first ever high quality bag. I decided on getting the Bellroy Transit and I'm blown away by how functional and comfortable it is! The bag feels heavy when I pick it up off the floor, but as soon as it's on my back, it feels light as a feather. I've never appreciated good ergonomics as much as when I tried out the bag earlier today. My old bag felt like a heavy boulder hanging off me, even without a heavy load.

Hi Chase, an update for your subscribers on the Black Ember Fore you reviewed. 1. They have since added a water bottle holder that can be attached to the bag. The obvious reason they didn’t build one into the design in the first place is, it really makes the bag look funky and 2nd in Briefcase mode it completely throws off the balance. The balance issue isn’t an issue in backpack mode because the holder is centred at the top of the bag where a quick access pocket would be if the had one. You can see why it looks like on their site to get a better idea than I’m probably giving. The upside though is it’s now available if you need it like on long trips, etc but doesn’t mar the look the rest of the time. 2. I posted a question on your review video about the size of the laptop pocket but you must’ve missed it so I reached out to Black Ember and received the following details - the laptop pocket is 16” x 9” x 1.5” (Length x Width x Depth). I actually purchased a pre-sale version and I’m patiently waiting till January but it looks like the closest thing to my perfect bag (though I’d still love that top quick access pocket and I’m not a huge fan of the dangly bits but that pales in comparison to the rest of the bag). Cheers, Christopher

Transit Plus is coming soon. “Teaser” pic already on their web page. Niiice.
@jeffone4 жыл бұрын
The Transit Plus looks nice but for travel in Australia, where Bellroy is from, it is a check in piece. You would be challenged to add 10 more liters of volume and not exceed the 7kg weight limits. It would work nice in the US for domestic travel, however. Not sure if it will fit under the seat, but tossing it in the overhead would be quite a stylish way to travel. Great company! Great bag. Love my 28L version to death!

Chase Reeves For me the zippered version would have made a bigger statement if it had rear access, the shoulder straps should have been padded even more especially on the 30l, the waist belt should have been included, the internal side pockets are arguably a step backward, and some of the color ways seem a bit underwhelming, with the exception of the midnight blue. I like PD products a lot, but had higher expectations for the v2.

What is your thoughts for minimal travel I'm looking for an option for a bit smaller and lighter than my peakdesign... This bag or the Opposethis invisible carry on 2.0? Both seems great but the opposethis seem to be a bit better to organize your tech gear and your business papers (yeah...I have to bring those with me...) Synik 30 and Waterfield executive backpack seems also great but a bit heavy and pricy...
@chasereeves5 жыл бұрын
Oh, that's a hard one. Both are favorites. Invisible has that nice tech panel. But this one has maybe some more capacity in the main compartment (which you'll need a pouch or two in to put your tech gear). Both completely capable. Slightly different in transit. Watch the vids and go with ur gut.

Obviously different looks. If you're drawn to the more tactical look, Aer is the way to go because it's also a great bag to use (lots of organization, durable, etc.). The front tech pocket in the Aer bags is organized well to have all those techy items organized in one panel. Both are favorites.
