Mighty craic and serious musicians, what about that banjo ? Simply great music and God knows how much we need something like this if only to just reasure people that the world of music has not lost it`s own self of humour. This is exactly what we all need a dose of to cheer us up in these `full on in your face times`. Slainte.

Who is big Hamish, and where does this song come from Warren, if I can ask? I love it!
@niallmccrink142 жыл бұрын
@@seantynan1 Hamish Imlach, famous Scottish folk singer, from Glasgow. Same man who wrote Black is the colour, - Which is brilliantly covered by Christ Moore, (who references Hamish in multiple covers I've heard. - That's where I first heard of him!) 😁
@gartnait1 Жыл бұрын
Hamish imlach was born in India though claimed to have been conceived in Glasgow😊😊 Black is the colour was a traditional song about a Scottish guy who ended up in America ,singing about his lost love in Glasgow who's lovely hair was obviously black.

@liberalirishman1425 No, they are pronouncing certain words with a Scottish twang the way the writer of the song used to sing it. Which is brilliant. There's certain words in the song you have to prounouce with a Scottish accent no matter what accent you have.
