All my life growing up in that same world, have been more open, understanding and most of all, accepting of all people, no matter their choices/struggle, thankful I was raised that way… although my family were strict by the book church going, the never “preached” nor forced it upon anybody, instead lead by example. I've loved a lot of different singers and celebrities in my life, but no one's story and voice has impacted me like David's. Anyone that watched him on Idol and in the years of 2008-2010 when he was absolutely everywhere knows how far he's come. From being the shy little Mormon boy who barely stood up for himself to becoming a handsome man unapologetically expressing his sexuality and how the Mormon church's doctrine traumatized him on a national stage. Absolutely in awe of his talent and personality. Forget the mainstream celebrities, David is exactly who we need to hear more from.
