I still come back to this and have NO idea how he didnt win. His voice is so skilled. And I was thinking "ironicly it seems" that he was the male SIA, and that challenge kicked him out.... Not only is his voice amazing but he can follow all songs you throw at him. Go up and down in tone and most amazingly he nailes every single timing during the flow. One of the greatest singers I have ever heard

The only ones I got were in reference to North Carolina (where he’s from), the Christmas clues (right around his birthday), and the “My So-Called Life” reference (Jared Leto, who was in the show, was born on 12/26, which is also Daughtry’s birthday... 2 days before mine... same year). At the end of the day Wayne Brady needed this more than Chris. I agree Chris was better but Wayne needed this for his singing career. Chris is already a massive success in that department!

@@aidenarkus yeah but Chris needed the win back in the day and he didn’t get it on Idol because he needed it. It’s supposed to be based on ability, the story you’re telling, the soul in it. And to me Chris was the best at all of those. He even had a cool personal connection to his outfit like Batman. I don’t think people win on merit on the show. Jesse McCartney didn’t win and he needed the win and blew away everyone else in every way. He could dance, sing, costume was cool, just all of it. It’s a very internet spreading politics kind of think but I honestly think if you’re a white guy nowadays your chances of winning go down. T-Paine won the first one against way better performers and even he didn’t think he had a chance of going past round one, Wayne Brady beat Daugherty and though Brady isn’t bad he definitely can’t match the soul and voice of Chris and even he thought he had a good chance of losing to Chris, and a black lady beat Jesse McCartney who no one matched or even got close to in my opinion. I think the darker your skin the better your chances. So if you’re a white guy maybe get a tan and try not to sound like a white guy. And if you’re a black guy you really can’t tell for sure if you won on merit or politics. One white guy has won but none of the others make sense and I think they would still throw a white guy in sometimes to win to make it seem like they’re being fair. The Hanson brothers also slayed it and people say ‘oh well their last performance wasn’t as great’ but many people who have won had not as great performances here and there and still won so for some reason that didn’t apply to them. And all the ones McCartney did were amazing to me and again he could have used a career boost way more than Brady from what I’ve heard, and McCartney put like everything he had into it.

I just seen a shared Someone you Loved performance on Facebook and I am so thrilled whose this one singing. I've been obsessed to Rottweiler (Chris Daughtry) for 2 days already, and counting days hahahaha. Can't help myself to keep on watching his performance with The Masked Singer. I can't count the times I have watched his performances & if I saidx100, it still isn't enough. There's a limited number of singers that can truly reach ppl to the depths of their soul. Elvis was one. Beautiful voice. Chris has that very ability. Truly a beautiful voice!
