As a dutch Roman-Catholic, who loves attending Latin Mass, I don't waste my time insulting Protestants like they do to Catholics on almost every Catholic channel and also on Christian Orthodox channels. This is typical behavior for American "Christian" Protestants, characterized by extreme feelings of superiority towards other Christian denominations. Their arrogant religious(?) attitude made us despise many of their so called, beloved American Please-donate-preachers, getting rich from poor Americans like Joyce Meyer, Creflo Dollar, Eddie Long, Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn and Paula White, etc. In Europe members of different christian denominations meanwhile learned to support and respect each other in these difficult times as Christians are being threatened and killed by other forces all over the world. We try to join forces and open our wallets to preserve our beautiful church buildings. Sometimes Lutherans (the ONLY SINCERE protestants!!) and Catholics even SHARE the same church buildings, without changing the Catholic interior of the church or interfering in each other's church service or Holy Mass. This has only been possible through reconciliation and by respecting the identity of each of the communities, which were once considered antagonists. In short, we Catholics in Europe also know what is coming to us and that we meanwhile have a pope who is facing many problems, many even due to his own wrong decision making..... Nevertheless I will always be grateful for the fact that I knew our great Polish pope John Paul II in person; I learned so much from him and his views. Moreover, he assured me that in difficult times we can always count on the help and support of the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God and this is so true!!!! In short I hope that the American protestants will invest their limited time on this planet wisely and not waste it on insults, pretending to be wiseacres towards other Christians. Catholics should never be late in MASS because the mass starts with the entrance song and then the priest says something about RECALLING your sins(venial) and then the next sequence is ASKING for God's MERCY( happens within the first 3 minutes of the MASS). Catholics ignore the first part of the Mass by being late which is not GOOD for the soul because you have not recalled your sins that week in the MASS which should have been forgiven that special SUNDAY MASS( now that I am an older Catholic), I realize how short the MASS is however it is completely PACKED with GRACES from GOD. After the Recollection of sins and PENANCE then the READINGS of the BIBLE(what are the messages of GOD that day). Then the HOMILY, OFFERING and then The CONSECRATION PRAYER( turning of the bread INTO the BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST= BEAUTIFUL PRAYERS, recounting the Old Testament sacrifices and how we have the MASS now , ULTIMATE gift of JESUS to humanity to make it to the KINGDOM of HEAVEN. Then the consummation of the BODY and BLOOD of Christ which IS THE FOOD AND DRINK OF OUR SOUL as we pilgrimage on earth.

So much protestant gate keeping on YT, some of the worst of it put out by ex-Catholics. Examples of this ("take it from me, I should know, I was Catholic 'till I got saved!!") come from fellows like the now fairly notorious Mike Gendron, Pastor Schimmel who oversees the Good Fight Ministries channel, and some smaller ones incuding the fellow who runs the 'Soul Refuge' channel and a certain Fred Tarsitano. Theres also an English fellow who has a channel called 'Ex-Catholics for Christ'. All of these....gentlemen...put out absolute howlers of lies, distortions, and bad faith arguments. They are completely immune to any effort to call out their garbage arguments and are incredibly hard-hearted. Some of the worst of it are the evils they spew about Our Lady. Great content as always.

great question. the simplest answer is in the distinction that the Church has made since at least the 8th century between "dulia" (veneration), "hyperdulia" (highest veneration), and "latria" (adoration). We can venerate saints, just as we should venerate our parents. We offer to Mary the highest veneration as the Mother of God. But latria is reserved for God alone. Full stop. Adoration/sacrifice is offered to God alone. The Church makes this explicit. I have a video on Mary coming out this week.

Prayer is not the same as worship. When Catholics pray to Mary, they are asking her to pray for them. The Mass is the highest form of worship dedicated entirely to God. Catechism 1358 says memorial. Memorial as in remembrance. I was a calvinist. Even then I believed in the Eucharist, it was this that brought me back to my Catholic faith. As a memorial not a recrucifixuinal sacrifice. Maybe they should read the catechism.

I finally realised that the case for catholicism is the strongest whichever angle you argue from. The problem with the Eucharistic 'sacrafice' though is that the theology is really nuanced and profound and many people frankly can't easily see the difference in the terms. This applies both to protestants and catholics such as myself. But because of all the reassurance I've now learned on my journey home I'm perfectly satisfied with the Catholic view on the matter. However I think it's more helpful to everyone if we can honestly admit it is a theologically profound area and no one should be surprised at anyone or beat themselves up if they can't process all the nuance of this subject that easily or quickly.

This is to elaborate abt a muslim friend family who he claimed the mama Mary appeared to him and she told him some revelations. After that whole family converted to Catholic. He claimed i dont know Mama Mary. I dont know how to pray the hail Mary . But he said she prayed with him. They have 3 children 2 boys and 1 girl. In 2014 they converted to Catholic . The two sons became catholic priest. One was send to Africa, the younger son was recently ordained . Both sons finished engineering courses in a prestigious catholic schoo after the convertion.Their sister joined a nun congregation recently. They are rich family . Reading of the New Testament will reveal that the Catholic Church does not have its origin in the teachings of Jesus or His apostles. In the New Testament, there is no mention of the papacy, worship/adoration of Mary (or the immaculate conception of Mary, the perpetual virginity of Mary, the assumption of Mary, or Mary as co-redemptrix and mediatrix), petitioning saints in heaven for their prayers, apostolic succession, the ordinances of the church functioning as sacraments, infant baptism, confession of sin to a priest, purgatory, indulgences, or the equal authority of church tradition and Scripture. We are not saved by sacraments; we are saved by faith. As one can see the origin of the Catholic Church is not in the teachings of Jesus and His apostles.

As an early 40s Boomer, attending Catholic School and receiving Catechism from Jesuit priests, it was drummed into us that the Daily Sacrifice of the Mass was a real sacrifice broken up into parts including the thanksgiving n praise parts. The sacrifice on the Cross WAS happening at that part of the Mass AND its saving power was applied at that daily sacrifice of the mass which made the Mass even more important to a Catholic. Also, the SOLE power/possessor to forgive sins/Absolution of Sins came ONLY from the priest and higher up in order to receive the real Body of Christ/the host. So, what ur explanation might be saying is that the "True Catholic Church" is fallible and so, can easily be rejected/revamped for its past dictates... and so now its doctrines can have its dogmas "softened"/changed today to please/appease the masses so that they will not abandon the Catholic Church and leave for the Truth of the Bible and believe solely the Bible's "dictates"??

I lived for a time in the city Wuerzburg, Germany - a Roman Catholic stronghold in Germany. I remember with sadness the “Fronleichnam” (Corpus Christi) - the adoration of the Eucharistic host/bread. During this celebration the presiding Priest lifts up the monstrance (decorative holder) containing the host and thousands of people of people fall down to WORSHIP it! Can you please show me in your Catholic Bible where the apostles of or disciples of Jesus worshiped or were instructed to worship the elements used in the Lord's supper/communion? I can't find such a reference! Until I find such a reference I must classify this as idolatry.

The "Worship of the Eucharist" in "the CULT of adoration" is idolatry.(Catechism 1378) Yes, the "truth is to easy to find" that Catholics worship the "hosts," even "bowing" to them (the "hosts") and even "carrying them in procession" in the "CULT of adoration." (1378) Folks, that is pure idolatry! Jesus is in Heaven. The "flesh profits nothing."(John 6:61-63) I can go on since this guy loves to quote from the Catechism of the Catholic Church and point out the error of Rome's love affair with water Baptism, etc. For, example, water Baptism "delivers no one."(978) Yes, the "first and chief sacrament of forgiveness of sins" (977) does not deliver anyone from their sins.
