I love the straight forwardness of asking people when they're gong to serve their purpose. Most people don't know their purpose, let alone when or how they're going to serve it so to get people thinking about it is so important and motivating.

I love the way he words this, "a man whom I choose to believe represented my fathers will for my life." We really do have the choice of what to believe and I think this is a really beautiful thing to choose.

The point he makes about that car accident taking him outside of his comfort is huge. A lot of the time, even in retrospect, we don't realize that we've been in a rut, that some huge disruptive event that might seem scary and awful is actually a wonderful blessing in disguise, so long as we get our mindset around it correct

Definitely agree that you have to have a clear picture of what your purpose is and what you're trying to achieve. You can't just be ambling throughout life waiting for your purpose to come to you.

Israel talks about the importance of having mentors and peers to help us along the way, and I think that's such an important point. We can't do everything on our own, and sometimes we need to rely on others to help us achieve our goals.

I'm so confused by this talk, on the one hand he talks about how you don't have to die or lose your mother or father to have this realization that he had... after he had an NDE? You can't say, I arrived at this knowledge through these steps, but you don't have to take those steps you can just have that knowledge. How do you know the message is as poignant without that experience?

Well obviously he's hoping that people don't think they need to have an NDE or hit rock bottom to find their purpose... But as you said and as history would inform us, we must walk our own path, our own journey, to truly understand our purpose in life. To quote Billy Joel "we didn't start the fire, it was always burning, since the world's been turning. We didn't start the fire, no, we didn't light it, but we tried to fight it".... Take what we can from the experiences around us and keep trying to fight the fire but finding your own fire within.

I'm sorry I'm really struggling to take this dude seriously. How do you know what motivates great leaders? I guarantee you it's not the fear of death for all of them. It's the desire to implement change. Or maybe we're not thinking about the same leaders.

I'm sorry call me cynical but that story about him dying as a child is pretty sketchy like, why was no one watching him swim? Where was he that a complete stranger would have access to being able to save him, without anyone seeing him, and then not sticking around to be like hey who is responsible for this kid?
