In this lesson I show you how to find the centre coordinates and radius of circles when you are given the equation of the circle. The first few equations in my examples are given in completed square form and later on, I show you what to do when they're not in completed square form. The questions I have used are as follows - in case you want to skip along to something harder! :-)
Question 1: (x-3)² + (y-6)² = 25 01:17
Question 2 : (x+2)² + (y-1)² = 1 02:33
Question 3 : x² + y² = 16 03:31
Question 4 : 2(x-3)² + 2(y+4)² = 128 04:12
Question 5 : x² + y² + 10x - 8y - 40 = 0 05:32
Question 6 : 2x² + 2y² - 14x - 10y - 163 = 0 08:35
Question 7 : x² + y² + 6x - 10y - 2 = 0 12:29 Try yourself! 😄
