Be great to no What the ring Mark's Mean visited here few years ago most interesting , had my own thoughts About some of them My be from the night sky meet this old guy that day telling my the story of two names of two soldiers 8n 1914 were there saying when the war was over they come and do a bit fishing there like so many young men never to return to for full there dreams there names Are Ingraved in the Sandstone rock down near the river , very sad story ,

Thanks again for making such an interesting clip. i had not realised that 'cup and ring' marks were in Ayrshire, we have them in Argyll and Perthshire a part of our history that is just not understood.

It's very sad to imagine more cup and ring marks being destroyed while the stone was being worked. Did you not fancy putting your own name up there? You are somewhat a local legend as it stands!
