That had to be awefully rough (being kicked when you're down). Life-changes, especially big life changes (like losing folks who've been an everyday part of our lives) suck. It wasn't until I experienced 1 or 2 of those kinds of losses to painfully realize that life is ever-changing: the folks we'll be with, the places we'll be & the circumstances we're in are all temporary and in-flux, like in a play, where the scenes and cast of characters are ever-changing. The cast of characters we begin with go thru changes, grandparents pass, siblings move away, new friendships form, sometimes we lose our childhood forever homes, change neighborhoods/schools, family's grow thru marriage, new in-law's, babies, serious illness/injury can change caretaker rolls, and of course, breakups and loss by death. No 1 'scene' remains forever...; like it or not, changes keep coming, some good, some great, some suck. That realization has made me more mindful to enjoy each scene I'm in, enjoy my time with those characters in my current scene because it will change, and the wildcard is, we don't know exactly when. But at least knowing that and purposefully enjoying who we've got while we've got them might assuage the loss we feel when the scene changes... and may help us too, because new characters are bound to enter our lives too...and cultivating the new relationships and enjoying them for as long as they're in our lives will be important too. Grieving the losses is important. Taking the time to realize how their loss is making you feel, and letting yourself feel those feelings is important. I sometimes use self-help books to purposely make myself focus on those lousy feelings rather than rush past them the way my tenderheart wants me too. But that deliberate processing is helpful and actually helps me move through the stages of grief & loss quicker than when I've just tried to grit my teeth and NOT feel the feelings. Besides that, denying those feelings can backfire unexpectedly, like when I was driving at sunset after my dad passed..., I'd totally forgotten how I'd visit him in the hospital and we'd see the sunset over the Hudson River every visit as I'd visit him after work... then one late afternoon, driving along the Hudson River, I got blinded by the sunset, just the right angle for a fleeting moment and I recalled all those afternoon sunsets at dad's bedside and I started bawling, WHILE DRIVING! An inopportune time, let me tell ya! So, although losses suck, known there will be gains, and be easy on yourself. You'll null this out and adjust to your life's new 'normal' and learn to live in an ever-changing life, with ever new 'normals' and you'll help another as they go through losses the same way.

Helps that it's in a major key. During the 1950s and 60s, most songs were in major key. The 70s was a mix. Then, since 1980, more and more songs are minor key, which are now the majority. I always thought that interesting and a bit strange.

That I never heard this band on radio is a testament to the uselessness of commercial radio, be it rock or country. Great stuff!

Going for a night out in my beloved city of Liverpool with my mates just as we're exiting the taxi this came on the radio, the driver waited while we listened and danced in the street, good start to the night
