Maxick stated that Muscle Control increases one vitality, and after a muscle control workout, one feels invigorated, not exhausted...that's why they could train every day
@Papepipucho Жыл бұрын
When I was younger I did full body isometrics every day. I'd go ahead and do each muscle group. I didn't train correctly, like they said in this video to do. However I would hold movements up to 30 seconds for one set. That alone gave me fairly large arms that were solid as stone, and someone like me who never picked up a weight I was able to dumb bell curl over 60 pounds when I wanted to test my strength (I had no idea if i was strong or weak lol). Again I didnt do anything else except 30 second movements for each muscle group, but I got fairly strong considering the effort I put in. Which took about 10-15 minutes out of my day. I'd be winded when I was done though, this is just going full mind muscle contraction. I was looking at Maxicks book about msucle control and I found I have a lot of muscle control! I am going to start adding this back into my life. Right now I am lifting weights but I am just going to tack this on. Excited to see if I will push numbers up or mass up. If anything, I will cover parts that are lagging. At the end of the day its simply letting your body go limp, and relaxing all your other muscles as you contract a muscle group. Flexing your arm and your chest and shoulder contract? Try to release all of that contraction and focus only on the muscle you're working on. it takes practice but it does seem to have some validity in my experience. I am going to look over his book and focus on some movements or add some to my list of movements I have memorized since I was a kid.

Charles Atlas Dynamic Tension, (you can STILL buy the course 100 years later!!!)....They have his museum somewhere on New york Island....Atlas (Angelo Sicilano) is by far the most famous but it is great to hear about other proponents of this system and one's like it. Joe Weider of course absorbed it into his expansive "Weider System" and called it ISO-Tension. Arnold just called it hard posing. Regardless, they all claim that it increases muscularity and separation and even holds up as a development system on its own. Of course mixed with bodyweight training, kicks and strikes and you basically have the system used by martial artist's for centuries. Go watch some old school Okinawan Karate masters perform the "Sanchin Kata."...Pretty ripped and wirey guys. Not that big, but just that hard as nails look.Very functional fighters body. If you combine this with barbells and dumbells and our modern diet and supplements, the sky is the limit. ....One last thing, it is interesting to hear Arnold comment how tired modern bodybuilders look when posing. Is it because they do not rely on "muscle control" to bring out separation and definition anymore? You only get good at what you practice. If you never pose, why would you be good at it? Another awesome presentation again. Thanks for sharing.
