Maxx is real, but his Pangea visions are Julie's and his projection of himself as a hero seems to come from her as well. The layers and depth of The Maxx, and the way it uses what is essentially a supporting character as the protagonist/narrative focus to explore the pain of everyone, is really interesting.

I remember middle school staying up late raiding my mom's ashtray for half smoked GPC 100s . Something weird would always come on MTV . The Maxx , The Head , Aeon Flux . Never in any type of order so you really had no clue wtf was happening
