The Mayann Project: Teaser

The Mayann Project is a community developed project which focuses on an epic adventure in the Amazonian jungle, in the legendary Mayann Ruins. It will feature a 6 minute movie with your nine favourite mercenaries; a jungle themed map in an epic quest to steal the Golden Idol of the Mayanns from their temple; and plenty of community created content (cosmetic items, maps, taunts and unusual effects)!

***** What you just said makes no sense. All of those things you complained about- the buffs/nerfs etc. are all from official Valve updates, not community updates. Community updates never change existing weapons, they usually just add cosmetics, maps, and reskins. Get your facts straight mate.

In my opinion, Community Updates make the game more fresh and show that people are still interested into the game and are willing to make content for TF2. New cosmetics, maps, and weapon reskins are always nice to have being added. Plus, if you're talking about ValvE made updates, then how would TF2 be dying every time they release an update. Sure, the Meet your Match update was kind of an update that came out of the blue and people didn't like the removal of Quick Play, but it'll work out in the end. Last thing before I stop; changing weapons (nerfing/buffing) are good. Weapons that are never used will start being used when ValvE buffs it (example: huo-long heater and sleeper) and the weapons that get nerfed will be less annoying to fight against (Phlog) and will make TF2 more balanced.

For the SFM- All my work is more or less done. Right now it's in post production and final adjustments etc. In other words, it's almost done. For the actual update- We just have to wait for the community to create more content for the update, and then hopefully Valve takes interest. When and if the update happens is all up to Valve.

I sincerely hope this and Frontline become real updates, the stuff that's being made for both of these is top notch. These community updates usually do a good job at tiding people over for the official Valve updates, with their unique settings, well crafted cosmetics and fantastic maps (in Invasion's case, anyway). I'd love to see both of these get the limelight while waiting for the eventual Pyro & Heavy updates.

FilmChiefs Its an annoying thing that I got sick of really quickly, I mean in all honestly, soldier should be represented as the stupid one in a video as hes the least intelligent of all the mercenaries. Its beliveable that a class can die stupidly, but its gotta be a fault that they accidentally made rather than the class just being stupid out of character. Spy in Crash Maul's Epic Scout is a good representation, he was smart enough to abuse the DR to juke out a scout, but he died towards the end because he wasn't focused on what the scout was doing and got cocky.
