Hi there! thank you for yet another comment. I really do try to keep my viddeos true and realistic. Only then they can be used as reference. Quilting is slow and it is a hand work. Mistakes belong to the process. ❤️❤️❤️

🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 I am fairly new to FMQ and have to tell you that I find your videos absolutely fantastic. Thank you for taking us through the whole process.

Hi there, probably I should warn you. FMQ is addictive, highly. It may result in spending money on fabrics and threads and thinking in patterns and colors. You may notice incresed tendency to be creative, find peace and calm while doing beautiful things :) Thank you for your kind comment!!! ❤️❤️❤️

@@quiltingnerd. I already know quilting is addictive so not new to this addiction. I can’t believe how good you are. I know I have to practice practice practice! Now that I found you I’m sure I’ll be inspired to practice regularly.

This pattern is stunning and can't wait to see the finished product! ??? Is your long rectangular ruler you use for straight sewing also used for cutting fabric???
@jackieheidorn58754 күн бұрын
The ruler is for free motion quilting. It is thicker than the ruler you use to cut fabric. It needs to jut up against the special foot; a regular ruler will slide underneath the foot. This could break the needle and potentially damage your machine.

Thank you! I'll be looking for one.

Hi there! I have seen that Jackie answered that already. She is absolutely right. You do not want your needle to hit the plastic ruler you use for cutting. You need thicker acrilic rulers. They should have a bit more rough bottom side for better grip and practical markings. Handi Quilter is a good start. You should probably check if your machine is a low shank or high shank. Most of the rulers have the note.
