Great review. I've been watching a lot of car reviews during this quarantine, and I've always wondered why local car reviews rarely hit the 15 minute mark, much less 20+ mins. I want one of these. I don't know why, but I want one. I'm not a car guy. This will be my first car, if ever. I've always lived and worked in the CBD, I'm perfectly content walking to work, and taking Grab the rest of the time. Hiring vans and Avis for the family, when needed. But this COVID thing has me considering a car for the first time. We're 2 adults, a baby and 1 toddler, and 1.5M can get me the CRV 5 seater gas variant or the Geely Azkarra mild hybrid, but for some reason, I'm leaning towards this.

Sir Wess, I am watching this video approx a year after it was uploaded. I agree with everything that you said. Earlier, I also watched the RIT couple's review of this wonderful sedan. I think for the longest time, their favorite vehicle was the Honda CR V.. until they took a test drive of the Mazda 3.

i daily drive this car.. and 100kph just feels like 60kph to be honest.. i think NVH really plays a great part in our senses relative to how fast we are driving.. it is very quiet inside and it tricks my mind that i was cruising at a slower speed..

This guy is a good salesman....and an advocate for the company as well. I am looking at buying this car soon.... and have been considering it for more than six months....among other brands & options as well. I "get" the whole "horse & rider thing" he was mentioning (as it is part of Mazda brand philosophy). I am a decades-long endurance cyclist....so l understand the analogy he is making with comparing my highly crafted road cycle for endurance & training rides vs. My E-BIKE that l might use for quick trips around town or to the grocery store. One is for immersion in the experience.... the other is simple utilitarian usefulness. It is the same with cars with me. The car l own right now has been like "my right arm".....a beautiful 2003 Saab 9-3. It has been abandoned by GM (despite all their promises to " take care of Saab cars & owners.....the lies and broken promises to customers & employees has been hideous....& heartbreaking. 😮 😔 😡 . So.....l have a very expensive & beautiful lawn ornament....and no way to retrieve my Saab's usefulness due to corporate/ G. M. GREED & MIS-MANAGEMENT. I WISH THERE WAS ANOTHER WAY..... BUT VERY SOON I WILL NEED AN ACTUAL ALTERNATIVE. LOOKS LIKE I AM HEADED TO BUY MY FIRST MAZDA.....HOPEFULLY IN THE NEXT WEEK OR SO....WITH BLACKED OUT WHEELS & *NOT WHITE UPHOLSTERY!!!* BTW: I AM FEMALE. LOOKING FORWARD TO SMILING AGAIN.... agree Sedan still make sense. Specially when you realize most of us are just in the city and driving in highways 80-90% of the time. I am actually doing the opposite with what most people do, going from a SUV to Sedan. Everything is expensive with SUVs, fuel, maintenance etc.

The Coolray is also a very compelling option. It has a load of features and a very competitive price. If you prioritize ground clearance and straight line power, then the Coolray is a good choice. However, if you like refinement, safety, handling and an upscale interior, then go for the Mazda 3. Do note that both models do everything I mentioned quite nicely, but one excels over the other in some areas.

Yeah .... l looked that up a while ago, when l started to consider buying this car..... as l recall the ground clearance is 5.5" (inches). I've owned Saabs since 1997....until GM MIS-MANAGEMENT & CORPORATE GREED THREW THE KNIFE INTO THE BACKS OF CUSTOMERS & EMPLOYEES. BOTTOM LINE: THE GROUND CLEARANCE ON THIS CAR IS SIMILAR TO THE 2003 SAAB CONVERTIBLE I STILL OWN. I LIVE IN MAINE....SO WE DO DEAL WITH QUITE A LOT OF SNOW HERE.....WITH JUDICIOUS DRIVING (PER ROAD CONDITIONS) I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM GETTING FROM "POINT A" TO "POINT B" DUE TO GROUND CLEARANCE.....WE DO HAVE PRETTY GOOD ROAD CREWS HERE, THOUGH.

Space in the Mazda 3 is perfectly adequate for a family of 4. You'll also have added piece of mind considering all its safety features. If this isn't enough to convince her, take her to your nearest Mazda dealer and the car will speak for itself. Hope this helps. :) 🙏
