Saw this film about 50 years ago with Richard Carlson...Sad but held my interest again.

Never mind the story. It's beautiful lighting, music and the ladies were beautifully slim.

1:42 She's like a female version of John Newland in OSB 😊 The movie was scary enough for me. Scarier part was getting lost and separated in the maze cause that's something that could actually happen in real life 😱 At 13:21 though, nah, seriously? 😄 Thx for sharing.

Is there a reason for not showing the opening credits at the beginning of the movie and then cutting off the ending?? Half the fun of watching an old movie is seeing who starred in it, directed it, etc.. It's like arriving at the movie theater late. It doesn't make any sense. Also, at the end of the movie, when the servants were ordered to carry frogman back into the house, he should have said "we're having frog legs for dinner"!

At 57:14 the pompous doctor said "and there I was with a elephant in front of me and a tribe fuzzy wuzzies behind me" cheeky hua 🤣🤣 I could've thrown a bottle of alcohol he loved so much to drink all over himself.😂😂😂
@ria163612 күн бұрын
'There I was you see with that maddened elephant in front of me and a whole tribe of fuzzy wuzzies behind me'. The doctor was objectionable in more ways than one. I don't think the scriptwriter liked the profession!

Where are the bathrooms and toilets in these old films? Don't people wash? Don't they wash their underwear? Where do you get hot water to wash in such an old castle with no boiler or piped drinking water?
@historykeys33475 күн бұрын
I stayed in one of those old castles they have. Not a hotel. Just a residence of some distant relatives. The plumbing was medieval. Before my ptsd gets triggered I'll just say that the bath I took, deprived a dozen people of all the hot water they had for two days. They were appalled that I opened the drain. Now about the movie. It was fine until suddenly it got cornier than an Abbott and Costello flick with Drac and Larry Talbot. ...hey Abbott! there's Hillary Brooke!
@LaHayeSaint5 күн бұрын
@@historykeys3347 History -- I don't think there was a bathroom. Washing involved a porcelain bowl 1/2 filled with cold water and no soap or towel. If you wanted a pee or a poo you had to pee/poo in a chamber pot and empty it yourself wherever. Don't even ask where you wash your hands! Room temperature was probably next to refrigerator temperatures, so wear your flimsy dresses at your own peril, with a real risk of hypothermia. Most of the film was of good quality. What made it ridiculous was the ending with the rubber iguana. That was comic and spoilt the film entirely.
