The MCU Reacts To Chadwick Boseman's Death

The Marvel Cinematic Universe may have dominated the box office in the 2010s, but the recent death of Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman has put a damper on all its recent success.
Boseman passed away on August 28, 2020, after a long battle with colon cancer. He will be sadly missed not only by fans but also his fellow MCU cast members and filmmakers, many of whom are paying tribute to his talents and legacy. I know eventually there has to be another live action black panther... but I hope the MCU at least retires the role for a decade at least. Eventually though, there needs to be another one. Chadwick brought the character to life with so much talent and passion, and now the character is as well known as batman or superman in the public consciousness. It would be a shame for the next generation of kids to not know about the character he brought to life even if it means he has to eventually be rebooted. So many people worked so hard to bring black panther to life.. I hope it doesn't die with Boseman

I remember after watching Jackie Robinson, I was crying my eyes out over such a beautiful, heart wrenching performance (I've long admired Jackie Robinson and any one who is the FIRST to achieve something that changes the world; even moreso, when that person crosses race, gender or class division to become the person who God DESIGNED HIM/HER TO BE) and I thought to myself that I can't wait to see what role this young, gifted actor would play next and I definitely saw an Oscar in his future. It wasn't until he was on Ellen, that I found out that he was from Anderson, SC. and my mouth gaped open, I live less than 30 minutes from that small city. He came from a small state that's still got a lot of racism and hate in it that it needs to OWN, sadly, so does every other state. But, he emerged from it to become such an outstanding actor, outstanding person. I haven't read his Wikipedia page, I don't know if he was a life long South Carolinian or only lived here for a few years. His demeanour during interviews makes me believe that he lived here, if not until he went to Howard University, but for quite some time. I'm deeply saddened by his loss, he was so very young. I hope all of our young people are inspired by him, regardless of race. But, to those young black men who see their only way out through athletic achievements, I hope they see that there are other choices you can make that don't leave you with brain damage or paralysed. I'm NOT condemning collegiate sports, but I don't like the way that you're used but not allowed to make a little bit of spending money while in University. You're putting your bodies on the line, maintaining grades good enough to play, some even better, all while enduring gruelling training schedules, game schedules and class schedules. Hell, they want YOU back on campus while COVID-19 is running rampant throughout the South at the moment. If it's what you love and want to pursue, then by all means, go for it. Just remember, there are options, remember Jackie Robinson, James Brown and King T'Challa. I get that SC churns out athletes (especially black athletes) pretty regularly, who go on to become great in their chosen sport. But, I'd love to see us nurture the arts, not just acting but writing, painting, sculpting...., not cut them from the budget, encourage kids in science and math, don't be stigmatized because it's a "geek" thing, it's not. If playing sports gets you to University then use it, just make the most of the opportunities presented to you while you're at University. Very few are going to be drafted and even fewer are going to make it in the pros. A backup plan for happiness and success is required. I hope Chadwick Boseman can be an inspiration for all kids. I'm going to miss seeing him play other iconic roles, but I respect and admire him, not just for his acting but for his fight against colon cancer. I'm fighting leukemia at the moment and it's exhausting. He was a TRUE SUPERHERO! Long live King T'Challa! Rest in Peace Chadwick Boseman! Gone too soon, but sir, you'll never be forgotten!!

No way, this is sad and shocking. I mean he looked like a strong healthy man, he had a perfect toned and muscular body. But for real, this man knew he had cancer and that he didn't have long left on this earth but he didn't let it dictate his life in the slightest. Not telling those working beside him as he obviously didn't want to be treated differently or for people to feel sorry for him. He also didn't feel sorry for himself and instead of hiding away feeling worried about the inevitable, he soldiered on and endured the pain in a physical and demanding role to create something amazing for the world to enjoy. I feel that it would be amazing if Marvel opened up the multiverse, and brought in a version of Eric Killmonger that stayed in Wakanda and was honourable to take on the mantle from T'Challa.
