I think mine is about 20 years old. Usually takes about 10 seconds to unclog a line. A little longer for tougher clogs. I affectionately call it the "super sucker". Shout-out to Owen for putting the switch on it!

This video got me to thinking about the dual motor units, I have several, I use all of my central vacuum units without pipes, yes, I'm definitely a proud central vacuum nerd, I love central vacuum units. There is some debate as to which is better, the two motors in series or parallel. I call my dual motor units, especially the 240 volt ones the beasts. I have five of those and I also have two 120 volt dual motor units. I prefer the motors in series, since I use all of my units without pipes, you definitely will notice the stronger power at the end of the hose when the motors are in series, a couple of my units will actually cause the hose to start to tangle if you put your hand over it. When airflow is higher, you don't notice that as much through the hose. Now, when using a central vacuum with pipes, that probably makes a difference. In that case, having more airflow may make a difference. Most of the series dual motor units do have an airflow of a single motor unit, between 100 and 145 usually. Similarly, most parallel dual motor units have a water lift of between the same numbers. The one exception is the Galaxie units. Their dual motor units have higher specifications for water lift and airflow than any single motor unit that I know of. The GA-240 which is a 240 volt unit with the motors in parallel has a water lift of 199 and airflow of 215. The Galaxie GA-200 which is a 120 volt dual motor unit with the motors in series has a water lift of 160 and a CFM of 199. I don't know how those 120 volt dual motor units work without tripping a breaker but I haven't had any problems. I plan on bringing that GA-240 to the next convention, that thing is probably as loud as the Filtex that was in one of your videos. They definitely did not plan on that unit sitting in someone's dining room the way mine does.

I’d be curious to see a Turbocat on that thing.

That sounds kind of neat, those are some nice modifications you made to it. I wonder if you could somehow use one of those as a central vacuum unit by connecting a standard hose to it. Does it have a utility valve or a pipe intake? Interesting that you mentioned the older units had a water lift of 220, that's the amount that my Drainvac twin turbo has, that's the one we hooked up to Tom's pipe system at the convention, the way it pulled the hide-a-hose in was fun to watch. If I ever find one of those MD clean out units at a good price I may get one.

Don't not use this for anything outside of vacuuming!!! ER bill and surgery get expensive (͡ ° ͜ʖ ͡ °)
