For our next stop in Ireland, Randy and I found ourselves at De Roistes Smokehouse in Ballinderry where we took on their MASSIVE new Meat Boat Irish BBQ Platter Challenge! Hungry diners have 1 hour to finish over 3kgs of Irish BBQ including:
1 Ultimate Smokehouse Burger
1 Full Rack of Spare Ribs
1 Beef Cheek
1 Wild Boar Fillet
1 Southern Fried Chicken Breast
1 Foot Long Hot Link
1 Massive Scoop of Pulled Pork
6 Mild Hot Wings
1 Bowl of Salami Mac n' Cheese
1 Bowl of Garlic Mashed Potatoes
1 Bowl of Cajun Style Coleslaw
1 Cornbread Muffin w/ Honey Butter

Alabama native here, the white sauce was an invention of Big Bob Gibson, Decatur Alabama. Bob passed in 1973 but his famous sauce lives on. Congrats on the win!!!

The surprise was a proper smoker in Ireland, well done Katina. I was concerned for the brisket when I saw it in the skillet as it is a step that would never be taken by any self respecting Texas pitmaster. All in all looked like one hell of a platter great choices of meat and sides so well done Ireland.

My ancestors came from County Clare, right next door to Limerick. Beautiful scenery and it looked like an excellent place for a stroll.
